After a bit of an absence, the pool party returns in 1977. In my original
research of Anna's pool parties I was not aware of the 77 party as well as a few
others. Keep in mind these were somewhat private and 'adult only' parties and it
seems certain years were hidden abit better than others. My guess is that in
some way the hidden nature of this particular year involved Anna's ongoing
relations with Mr. Corey; who had not attended the 74 pool party, had a major
fall out with Anna and married another woman the same year yet returned to
Anna's party again in 77 and perhaps rekindled affections with Anna. Oddly
enough, Mr Corey split up with his wife shortly after this pool party and
divorced the following year. Speaking of.. here's the lovely host Anna Wellington 56
years young and still turning heads, in particular perhaps that of Mr.
Corey.. Speakin of Mr Corey, despite my efforts there is little in photo of
Mr Corey from the party. This photo is actually Zeke Range to the front
and Jim Corey toward the back.
I'm not sure of the outside details surrounding this pool party,
or even if I can reveal them here...but another interesting point of note was
Alexa Wellington and her close friend Caroline Kasner. Alexa is to the back of
this photo... Here we see the girls take to the pool, Alexa to the front and
Caroline to the back.... looks fun....
Donna Mehnger returned one more time to the pool party looking
sexy as ever and unfortunately this REALLY would be Donna's last appearance at
the pool party.
The
sultry young Barb Carera returned to the party again in 77 and had become a good
friend of Anna's
Lisa Baker returned to the theater and the pool party though
this would be her last appearance at the pool party and she left the theater the
following year...
Vickie Cottington also returned to the party again in 77.. older
yet still lovely as ever...
And much to my surprise Vivian Arnell was at the party in 77.
Though this would for certain be Vivians final pool party, she would continue to
run production at the theater until it closed in 1983.
Pauline Nash continued to be a main event at the theater and
joined the party again in 77. Pauline was becoming prime time in modeling and
some small roles in movies, her popularity would continue to soar in the next
few years.
A
candid and sexy Mary Strat joins the party again this year. Mary was not quite
the top draw at the theater but she was the most consistent performer and a
close favorite of both Anna and Vivian thus Mary was actually the highest paid
actress at the theater during this time.
Regardless of what happened at the theater, Mary was always a
favorite at the pool party....
Monica Fahey returns to the pool party again this year. Monica
joined the theater in 1974 and has been a regular since that time. Monica is
well liked by all and a favorite of Vivians.
Here's a fun moment from the party as we see theater actress
Monica Fahey offering drink to Mary Strat with Pauline Nash observing in the
background. Maybe Pauline is next in line for a drink?
Shelly Freidrichs joins us again at the pool party. Shelly is a
local girl who got more involved in the theater last year and was
introduced into the theater by former actress Beverly Schuyler. I think
Shelly will do great at the pool party if nothing else!
As
always we start on top with Anna and finish on top with the always sexy
Stella...
Here
we see Stella take to the pool with long time family friend Bob Hanlon. Mr
Hanlon had affections toward Anna for many years but after the fallout of 74 it
was clear to Mr Hanlon that he and Anna would only be dear friends and with this
in mind he along with Mr Corey put their differences aside. Mr Hanlon always
felt better about the whole situation when he was able to hang around Stella
in the pool..... wouldnt you feel better too??
The pool party of 1977 seemed to end the 'love triangle' problem between
Anna with Mr Cory and Mr. Hanlon. Mr Hanlon was a dear friend and would
always be... and nothing would come between the passions that existed with James
Corey and Anna... not even marriage to another woman. The times were
continuing to change... and next year would bring many new faces to the theater,
