SOULBURNER

COLOMBIA

Well known by its brutal 'Hellfire' CD debut and its frontman upon the stage,
the band played in Ibagué City on May 15th (2005) with Twilight Glimmer.
Both bands are in a good conditions right now, they are arriving to the top
of the colombian death metal.

The SOULBURNER singer Sergio Ramos answered this interview to my friend Jorge Páez.

Tell us a short bio of SOULBURNER

SOULBURNER born in 1998 and the name was RITUAL. It was founded by
Bernardo García (lead guitar), Juan Carlos Arévalo (rhytmic guitar and vocals)
and Ricardo (bass); the band released a split with NEUROSIS entitled "Pure Sick Metal"
they played at Rock al Parque 2000 fest. Then they changed the name for SOULBURNER
and released the album "Hellfire" and played at Rock al Parque 2001 fest
and shows with Rhapsody, Mayhem & Sinister and Dark Funeral.
Then Mauricio Reyes (drums) and Juan Carlos Arévalo left the band and enter
Sander Bermúdez (drums) and I, we recorded "Life Denied" EP and the upcoming album.

Tell us about the influences of SOULBURNER
and the influences in the vocals of Sergio Ramos?

SOULBURNER is an extrem death metal band under influences of icons as
Deicide, Unleashed, Morbid Angel, Vader, Krisium, Terrorizer, Cannibal Corpse,
and more. Personally my influences are Corpsgrinder, Glenn Benton, David Vincent
Peter Tadgren and another excelents vocals.

Tell us about the distribution of Hellfire CD
and Life Denied EP outside Colombia

Hellfire arrived to countries as Czech Republic, Spain, Mexic, Chile, Argentina,
Ecuador, Peru. Life Denied has been sold ony in gigs.

When will be released the new album?

We hope the new CD go out in September, the title is The New Age Of Darkness
and now we are looking for our first tour in southamerica in early 2006.
