The band is very busy right now, however Arnaud (bass player) answered my interview:
Well, to begin how it was de beginninf of Repudiate? Repudiate is the result of the will to create a band with members able to play a very fast, agressive and heavy music with a particular atmosphere,where ultra fast riffs keep close to doomy parts and where black and death singing unite in order to rise up the brutality, sprinkled with crazy lead guitar parts.The Band was created by Nicolas, Mitch-Hell and David in march 2001, then P O (who played with me in a previous band) joined the band in May 2001 and invited me few month later to play with them as bass player.Since then, we make hard efforts to compose good stuff and to promote the band over the web and other media. Why did you choose that name for the band? It's a kind of vengeance over some people. A way to show our disgust of what they are and how they behave. When the full lenght album will be released? We hope that the full length album will be released in the beginning of year 2003. For now, there are more songs to compose in order to complete the album. And we still wait for answer from labels. We hope have the opportunity to record in a good studio soon. How will it be titled, and do how many song will be featured? The album will be entitled "Devoted to betrayal" and between 11 and 14 songs will be featured. We don't know yet what songs exactly will be on the album, it depends on our ability to make the songs and which are our favorite ones. But it will have a rich content for sure. Which have been your main gigs? No gigs done yet! Our line up is recent, the band is a young one. And for now we focus on the composition process for the future album. Nevertheless we would have participated to a big Fest in july 2002 with some famous bands like Deranged for example, it would have been a very big event with more than 40 bands, scheduled on 3 days but it has been cancelled. Our first gig will be in Strasbourg on October, then we'll play in Belgium in November, but the big event for us is a gig with Vader in February... Is it means that there isn't some tour? Not in the near future, but when our album will be out, we hope that we'll have the chance to make a tour to promote it. Beer, noise, sweat, and women every evening during a month or more...we are waiting for that dude ;-) Speak to me some of the French scene... Which other bands are there? French death metal scene begin to rise again, after the splits of great bands like Massacra or Loudblast, there has been a dead period but times change. Agressor is still here and provide fucking great noise, new bands like Carcariass, Symbiosis, Gronibard are very talented and underground bands like Carnal Lust, Necroblaspheme, Krarath, Voracious gangrene will be well known soon! I suppose that you know the brutal Gurkkhas. What's your opinion about that band? It is a major band in France and they bring a lot to the scene with their label. But it seems that they are more famous abroad than in France. Which are the best labels in your country? The more famous are Destructive Records, Listennable Records (even if they don't sign French bands...) Skull Fucked Production and Perenial Quest Prod are also sure to be well know in a near future. Do you know something of the metal of Colombia? Not as much as it deserves i'm sure, but we know some bands from your country like Internal Suffering for example. How do you imagine my country? Full of over-energised people due to coffee addiction, cocaine falling like rain and top less Colombian women in bikini covered with sun oil every where!...we are ready to play in your country whenever you want!
