This four members band answered my interview. Their music is very influenced by
the bands which destroyed my head in the 80's years. On a few months we will know
their first full lenght album to destroy you too!!!Hello friends, to start tell me about the cration of the band... Erick: PROFECIA started on 1991. All the members are friends and we lived in the same citadel, we listened metal every time that we were together. But the band started on 1993 really. One of the problems that we had was the lack of instruments, and the few time dedicated to the band (weekends) but we work. What about the best reminds with Profecía? Erick: The gigs bring us a good experiences, maybe one of them was when we played with Transmetal (Mexico) then we drunk beers with them in a Cuenca city bar. Also with Master (USA) and with Angel Negro (Colombia). Also we remind two shows, first "Metal Ataque" (august 2000) in Guayaquil in a great stage with lights and a very crazy people!.
The other was the "Metal Christmas" (December 2000) the people was great, we put a skull in the stage with lights in its eyes, and then appeared our pet "Muerte" (Death) trying to pulling heads, some new songs and a part with the old members. That show was the best of that year. How is the friendly inside the band? Erick: It's very good, we know ourselves since years. I play the guitar and I'm the vocal, my brother Frankie Alava plays the bass, Johnny Reyes plays guitar and Robereto Portilla is on the drums. How is the support in and out Ecuador? Erick: In our country we have very good reviews becouse we are a Tharsh Metal band. I receibe so much mails of congratulations every day from another countries and in USA a band covered an song of us "Angel Exterminador", I feel good for that. How are your demos... Erick: Our debut was released on 1997 "Anunciantes del Final", 9 songs, 2 of them live. The second one was entitled "Hacia el Armagedón", released on 1999 with 10 songs as "Angel Exterminador", "Clonación Humana", Mundo sin Ley", "La Cuenta Regresiva hacia el Armagedón" In the end of 2001 we released a split tape with "Zoofilia" (Argentina) and at the end of 2002 we will release our first CD entitled "VII veces VII" How it will sound? Erick: The cover will be very original as the style of the Marvell comics, we go on playing Thrash Metal but you will find a progressive influences. Do you want to come to Colombia to promotion? Erick: After our show in "Colorado metal Fest" we spoke with a colombian man who offers to bring us to Cali city. I hope to concret it. Tell me the best and the worse bands of the 80s and 90s? Roberto: There weren't bad bands, every one did the best.
Johnny: I guess that all the bands of that years was good.
Frankie: I liked all the bands that I usually listened.
Erick: In the 80's Scatterbrain, and in the 90's Type O' Negative. What are your favorite bands from my country? Roberto: Masacre and Angel Negro (RIP)
Johnny: I guess that Masacre is the band that overflows me.
Frankie: I guess that Masacre has a great past.
Erick: Masacre, for the brutallity; Agony, for the excellent Thrash; Neurosis Inc, for its bestial Death; Dogma Sinaca, for its original style. Tell me the best five bands of all the times... Roberto: Iron Maiden, Metallica, Megadeth, Sepultura, Testament
Johnny: Sepultura, Pantera, Iron Maiden, Metallica, Anthrax
