DARK HAIL!!! Something new: Black Metal from Medellín for the dark reignRio de Muerte (guitar and keyboard) of the band Oscuridad was interviewed by Eternal Night.
HAILS, tell me how you created Oscuridad... The band born in November 1999, the line up is the same since that time: Shadow (bass) and Rio de Muerte (guitar & keyboards). The idea is to do the black arts with the sound of our damn darkness. How is the Black Metal Circle of Medellín? Here are great bands and allies, but it's necessary to consolidate the work and the productions, it takes a long time. In the tape, Dark Moon recorded the vocals,
who will be the singer in the gigs? We don't want to play gigs for the moment, we are working in new stuff for the next work. Why did you include a Burzum cover? Burzum is one of our influences, for that reason we included that song, but we arranged it in the keyboards to put it our style. In the next work we will include a Bathory cover. How long is this first press of the demo tape? Dark Count productions has a contract for 1000 copies and we are doing a contract with another label to release it on CD. How is the distribution of Dark Count? It's underground, with labels, distros and zines. Dark Count hopes to support Oscuridad in this battle. What do you think of Witchtrap, invited to play with Destruction and Kreator
in Bogotá city and they lost the travel? In that show were much problems and I guess that Witchtrap had problems inside too. The national bands need a lot of support for part of the organizators.
ED: The colombian bands are used to adorn the poster and then the organization blame to the international bands. How do you see our Black Metal scene with another countries in southamerica? In Colombia aren't enough Black Metal bands and here is hard to press the ideas, some bands take three, four or five years to record their songs. another bands have not money, etc.
In southamerica the best scene is in Brazil and Chile, but there are professionals labels with a long experiences. Ok, to finish a commentary...
