Who doesn´t know this Doom Metal band fro Manizales? Well, it all started in 1992 with three members, they presented a demo tape with four songs called Sanctum Regnum which sold 300 copies.
In 1994 Liturgia released In
Perpetuam 7" which gave them the chance to play in more cities in Colombia and nearby countries. They sold 2000 sopies of it. In 1998 they released the CD Veritatis Splendor and right now they are recording a new album. Camilo Sánchez the singer, answered this short interview, and with him in the recording of Veritatis Splendor Jaime in the keyborads, ryhtmic and acoustic guitars, Juan Felipe in the bass, Carlos Andrés in drums and Afar in the lead guitar. In this powerful CD there is a feminine voice who is Sandra.


What´s the line-up today?
We are : Harold (keyboards), Felipe (drums), Juan Felipe (bass), Jaime (guitars and keyboards), Camilo (vocals) and Afar (lead guitar).


Where was the CD recorded and how does it long time?
We recorded it in Manizales (Col) at Sonica Productions between July and August 1998, the mixing was at Hangar Studios in Medellín (Col) and the CD pressed in Canada.


What´s the inspiration for the compositions?
Basically in many of the things that turn to our surroundings, in what we believe, we think, we feel and in what we conceive and in how our existence is positive as well as negative, also in our aberrations and in all what disturbs us and sicken us


Who are your favorite writers?

I like from scientific, historical up to literature, Benedetti, Cortazar, Cela, García Márquez, Kafka, Castro Caicedo, Tolstoi, Dostoievsky, Gallegos, Suskind, Eco, Nietzsche, Galeano and other ones.
