Where was the idea to create a band? and why do you choose that name? Regards! The idea to create HELEVORN came from later 1998, when some muscians of Mallorca decided to run a band with a lot different aspects to the things made, it not only in Mallorca, also in the rest of Spain. We got in touch with the rest of members and we started to work very hard in the songs. We call the band HELEVORN 'cos it means "dark crystal", it has a lot of means for ourselves and the music. After this promo, which is the next project? We are working to finish the new songs and enter in the studio as soon as possible, we are glad for the songs are staying, they sound very strong! The truth is that our aim is on the songs, we think of all will be great, and also we want to go out Mallorca and to play some shows in Spain. What about the Doom Metal scenne in Spain? Well, in Spain isn't a big Doom scenne, the truth is that the escene is choked by Heavy and the new bands of "Metal", it's hard to find people who know our style, we hope the situation gets better. Which are you influential bands? Really there are a lot, we have listened much Death Metal, from America and from Europe, also to a lot Doom bands from early 90, like Paradise Lost, My Dying Bride or Anathema. But the music changes so much with the people, for that we look at the past and also the present Doom and Gothic bands, here are a lot of ideas, you will find personal parts. What's the inspiration for the lyrics? That's the basic component for our music, we try to care it, the inspiration comes sland of the same music or conversely. The songs keeps some story that emerges by the feelings, the melody is the essence of all the story. It's hard to speak about our lyrics, it's interesting that who listem HELEVORN tries to read them for his own conclusions. Do you think of the ocultism is necesary in the Metal? We don't think so, maybe it is for who need it as bridge for their expresion, thus it is necesary. Have been problems inside the band? The same of almost all the bands, we are accustomed, seven muscians in an small island, it use to be problems wih someone, which aggravate when someone leaves the band, that's a real problem, to find the replacement. About another problems... all is right, we are friends and the problem is with the alcohol ha, ha, ha... Have you listened something from Colombia? I relly know a few things of the colombian scenne, but that few are the Death Metal bands, I've listened Purulent and Internal Suffering, I've heared to mention Nameless but they play Doom Metal, but I heven't listened their music. Here the people says that Colombia and Brazil are the cradle of Brutalest Metal. Which are your contacts in Southamerica? Well, I've known good people in Southamerica, almost everybody has contact me directly, some of them are Beto Ampuero (Rotten World Magazine, Chiclayo-Perú), Jorge Torres (Darkness Web 'zine, Perú too), German Barrientos (Dark Horizon, Concepción-Chile), Jaisson Texeira (Radio Universitaria,Criciúma-Brazil), Plinio Valles (Melomania Report-Venezuela) Every time are more interested southamerican people interested in HELEVORN, we are so glad for that!
