A Death Grind Metal band sent me a promo of the last album Completely
Devoted (2001).Andy answered the questions that I did: Hello Andy, how have been this first years of the band? Our first steps was very hard !!! We have lots of problem with the equipment and rehearsal room. Yes, it was very long time ago!!! Now we don't have these problems. We have very professional backline and all equipment. We have our rehearsals in professional studio, where we recorded our last stuff "Completely Devoted". Where did you take the roots to creat your music? I think that our roots are in American Death Grind scene. Our music sounds like bands: Brutal Truth, Suffocation, Excoriate, Soilent Green and Canadian Cryptopsy, but we've our original riffs and sound. Who are the actual line up? Actually Damnable is a trio. Andy - guitar and drum programming, Bayn - vocal, guitar and drum programming and Rolly - bass. We have been played with live drummer for eight years, but we had to record our last CD with drum machine. We have really big problem with the live drummer, because we can't find any good man. Fucking shit !!! Which have been the support inside and outside Poland with the album "Completely Devoted"? After releasing "Completely Devoted" our label put lots of advertisement. We played a lot of gig in Poland , Germany, Czech Rep., Belgium, Italy, Switzerland, Austria and Slovakia. I make many interviews in big magazines like Ablaze, Terrorizer, Legacy, Brutalica and more. How have you promoted that album? Last year we played on big European festival like: Fuck The Commerce, Obscene Extreme, Brutal Assault and Morbid festival. We also played Europe "Devoted Tour" at the end of April and at the beginning of May 2002. In June we are going to play small tour with Pungent Stench and Hypnos in Czech Republic. In April '03 probably we will play next full European Tour with Lividity and Deranged. After that strong songs, why did you include an acustic song? We wanted to make an association with our first album "Inperdition". There was an acoustic piano song at the end. There is also an acoustic song at the end of "Completely Devoted", but now we used an acoustic guitar. What's the next project of Damnable? We have already had eight new songs. We are going to record new CD on spring 2003. How is a normal day of you guys? Me and Bayn don't work and only take care of the matters of the band, e.g.: promotion, interviews, making gigs and tours, composing a music. Rolly has a work but also helps us with the promotion. What's the best Poland place? As regards the best places for gigs in Poland I can offer you: Rzeszow, Warsaw, Chelm, Cracov. But if you want to travel I can offer you our mountains Tatry - they are really gorgeous! A message to finish this interview... Thank you Alex for the interview and your killer support !!!
