Here is the interview with Jaime Ocampo from one of the oldest metal bands from Colombia. Tell me about the meaning of these years into Metal... The music has influenced my life since I born. More than music is a philosophy.Every disc that you choose to listen it must to influence you and form you
with the position of the musician who wrote it. The rock doesn't work if
it speaks about the girlfriends, soccer or beer. Metal is culture. ¿What do you remind from the past? At the beginning we didn't want to be professionals, we played for funny.
I miss when we were drinking and playing, now we work hard and hard. ¿What do you consider the reason about the old bands which don't exist now? The life eat us, it change to us and it does with us that it wants.
To keep a line up so many years is hard, if you look at around
some bands as Masacre, Reencarnación, Tenebrarum and Athanator
have another line up. ¿What do you say to the new metal bands? If I could start again, I'd take every thing very seriously since the first rehearsal. ¿Which have been the main shows of Athanator? It's hard... Our show in Ancón 2005, we have problems with the law for the covers,
we did it but the company was wrong. We played in front of 10.000 persons singing
the last song and the cops capturing us in the stage.
Other of the first shows a man was muerdered with two shoots in his face.
