How is every thing in Antares?
Hello, at present ANTARES promote the latest demo "Run Away" and prepare for giving concerts. Besides we keep on doing new material which is growing in numbers. We also look for the second guitarist. Why did you choose that name for the band? What it means? We found that name good for haevy-metal band. In reality "antares" means a star in Scorpio constellation. What's the actual line up? Jaroslaw Drag - vocals; Roman Wrobel - guitars; Rafal Majchrowski - bass; Marcin Mageira - drums. What about your songs speak? On the whole our songs tell about human life and rather faded reality. There isn't deep philosophy, but every one can understand it in the different ways. Where have been the last shows of Antares? Our last shows have been by the legendary Polish heavy-metal band "TURBO" side. Antares has opened their first concert of the tour and one of the next shows. When will you have the full length album? We have all material for the full length album, unfortunately under our Polish circumstances - it's not so easy to find a publisher. We're looking for a publisher with whom we could conclude a satisfactory contract. We can't exclude the possibility that now /when we have the second demo we will be seeking for a publisher abroad. The time'll show what will be further. What's the thing that you most agree of Poland? Now, Poland is after changing period. There isn't too much money - especialyy for music. We have some metal records, but they're interested in modern part of metal. Who are another Heavy Metal bands there? There were once quite a lot of heavy-metal bands in Poland, but in the course of time some of these died a natural death. Only some of them exist today: TURBO, ACID DRINKERS and TSA. There's chance that heavy-metal will be back because a few bands start acting in our country. May bands be as many as possible! What do you know about Colombia? We know Columbia is a country in the South America and we rather don't associate it with prosperity. Media in Poland sometimes speaks about problems with drugs in your country, but we're very delighted that there are people like you. Thanx. A commentary to the readers of Eternal Night zine...
