They are very professionals, Eternal Night Records choosed them as the only colombian band in the brutal Death Knell CD with the song Scared mixed by the well known Tom Fletcher. Agony after 10 years of a hard work has a lot of things to tell us...
Hello friends, to start tell us about Tom Fletcher:
was it hard the work with him?
Exactly the opposite. Tom was a support to achieve the most that we could give
in the recording. The hard of a producter thus is to find an space
in his agenda, but in the small lag he has the rest of the year busy, that
happened us much times and the dealy was a huge.
In music Tom is a great engineer and the ambient of the production in Reborn
was the best. We learned a lot.
Which label will released Reborn? Goes on Cinismo Records?
Cinismo Records goes on though Reborn be or not released with that label.
Precisely we are negotiating who will release the album and in which countries.
We guess in Colombia will done by Cinismo Records.
People are asking our music and we want to give it soon. We have several offerts but any is satisfactory with respect to scope and diffusion
that we wish. We guess Cinismo Records will bring it from USA to Colombia
Who were the invited musicians for this album?
Only one for the cover of Iron Maiden, "Wrathchild".
Antonio Laso, a galician piper who recorded the intro from Spain.
We recorded the rest.
How many songs Reborn features?
Eleven of Agony and the Iron Maiden cover.
The song Scared, featured in Death Knell Compilation is
a littlle part of Reborn. All the songs are with that sound?
No really. Every song is different. Scared not seems to another
in the album. That's what we like it.
Speaking more of that great song Scared,
which are the differences of the Death Knell
Compilation version and that will appear in Reborn?
When we accepted to send that song for Death Knell Compilation,
the album would be mixed by Tom Fletcher.
Tom had to go on tour with Ingwie Malsmsteen and the production delayed,
so we choosed to work with another engineer (Rich Renken).
The compilation version is unpublished 'cos was mixed by Tom Fletcher, if you check the solo is different and all the mix.ED: The Death Knell Compilation version is for collectors, for the real metal lovers. Tom Fletcher, have worked with the metal gigans as Motley Crue, and much more. How is the California scene? Tell us experiences from there... The fact of be colombian has taken problems for Agony? The thing here is a huge. Here are all kind of scenes inside heavy music and all kind of levels, from legendary bands which full stadiums to the underground bands. The good is that here you know who is who. This is the best school for Agony. The fact of be colombian is our different of the rest of bands. We feel proud of our roots and the people aceptattion is unbelieble. How is Agony now outside Colombia? How very often Agony plays? We are dedicated to the production of Reborn as we really want. We rehersall in proffesioanls studies here in Los Angeles, we go to shows, we are updated of all that happens. We have played twice on Whisky a gogo with total full, also in Sunset Strip here in Hollywood. Exactly now comes some local shows. We are going to play in Coconut Teazser in Hollywood with american bands and a project of the members of Brujeria and Static X. On april will be a concert with D.R.I. Now with the album we are going to play everywhere in the world. How has evolved Agony since that big show with TESTAMENT 1998 in Bogotá City, until today? the band has matured much. I can tell without fear to a shame that in Colombia we were an amateur band and now we are a professional band. We've evolved our sound to an identity and every day we feel better with the music we do. How do you see the life in Colombia from there? Complicated. The news aren't the best. I read colombian newspapers. the Colombians are prepared to finish some with the others by to think different. It's better to finish that resent and envious people before they finish with us.
ED: I'm agree, our goverment is so delayed to start a retaliation! What's that you most miss from Colombia since you moved to USA? The fans' heat. They are the best we got in the world. When we think of them, we can not stop to fight every day to present Colombia outside. It's a beatyful country. Do you want to play in Colombia in the promotion of Reborn? Yes. At least one show in Bogotá when we be touring in South America. We ll want to play in Colombia Do you have a commentary to peak this article?
