1) Day One

Set eight weeks after Hathaway's Suicide attempt. Doug has yet to visit Carol. Susan removes an earring from a cyanotic babies throat, the child recovers. A patient of Carter's goes into Cardiac Arrest and Carter shocks him back into sinus rhythm since no one else is available. Ivan a Liquor store owner comes in, he has been shot in the arm by a robber. Peter treats him and he is sent to surgery. Susan Lewis and Div Cvetic clash over the care of a senile homeless man, we learn that they are romantically involved.


Benton diagnoses a post operative femoral bypass patient with a dangerous blood clot only to have the patients private doctor overrule him and discharge the patient. Later the man comes back in, Benton was right. He goes to surgery. Jennifer Greene passes her Bar exam, they celebrate but get caught having sex in an exam room. Mark has to help an elderly man accept his wife has a terminal respiratory condition. Shortly afterwards she dies. Doug finally visits Carol and brings her flowers.

2) Going Home

It's Carols first day back after her suicide attempt. She is funny and charming to all at the hospital but is haunted by images of her arriving at the ER on a gurney. Mr Flannigan comes in with sudden onset central chest pain radiating down the left arm (classical heart attack pain), he is given morphine for the pain, an ECG (EKG in America) shows an inferior wall infarct (death of the muscle on the lower border of the heart due to a lack of oxygen). He is put on Heparin (thins the blood) to stop a further clot occurring. Susan treats with tPA (tissue Plasminogen Activator, an enzyme that breaks down clots) instead of Angioplasty (a surgical procedure to dilate the occluded blood vessel), the Cardiologist (Dr Kayson) is annoyed at Susan he prefers Angioplasty. Susan has to present the case infront of the review board. Mr Flannigan recovers.


Madame X an Alzeheimers patient sings her way around the ER, Carter spends the day talking and comforting her before another ER patient identifies her as a famous singer she once saw when she was on her honeymoon. (played by Rosemary Clooney, George's Aunt).


Mark deals with an abused wife (Mrs Cheung) who cannot speak english and uses her son (Frank) to translate. She claims she fell down the stairs but they live in a ground floor flat. She is reluctant to report her violent husband. The husband arrives and takes Mrs Cheung and Frank home, they are too scared to admit he beats her infront of him so cannot be admitted to a shelter. Doug asks Carol to lunch but she refuses and says that she is dating John Taglieri.

Jenn has an interview with a prestigious Law firm. 

Carter pursues a lusty relationship with Liz who also appeared in the pilot episode with burns to her thighs. Ivan the Liquor store owner is back after being shot in the leg. Benton orders an X-Ray. Doug has another attempt to rekindle his relationship with Carol but she tells him he is felling guilty for her attempt at suicide and refuses. The staff throw Carol a welcome back party, Carol makes and emotional speech saying how lucky she is.

3) Into That Good Night

Doug and Carter are asleep in the Doctors lounge, Carol wakes Carter telling him that Students do not sleep in the afternoon. Jenn calls Mark in the ER, she has news and wants to meet with him. Later Jenn tells Mark she has got a clerkship with a federal judge in Milwaukee and that she has to live there, Mark says he will see what medical jobs are available in the area. Sally Niemeyer come into the ER seven months pregnant after being hit by a car (see below) Doug treats her, she is stable and the baby is OK. Sally then goes into labour in the ER, Doug assess the pregnancy at 28 weeks and feels the baby is to early to be born, Susan thinks it is 34 weeks but agrees with Doug. They try to stop the labour with drugs but do not succeed. Obstetrics has not turned up, the baby is in distress and they have to deliver. As Doug suspected the baby is very premature and it's lungs are not fully developed, he goes to Neonatal Intensive Care. Sally is OK. Benton is treating the gang member (Arabella Suarez) who hit the pregnant lady in a stolen car. Her blood pressure was 170/100 and Heart Rate 120 (Both High), Benton suspects that she has taken drugs which she denies. On suspicion of an Aortic Rupture she goes to the OR where it is confirmed and repaired, she later dies in recovery. Carter is awaiting his Venereal Disease test results (caught from Liz ;-), Jerry posts the result on the ER bulletin board. They were positive for something, not sure what.


Sam Gesner (played by Alan Rosenberg) a 43 year old building supply salesman comes in to the ER after collapsing at a convention. He is rescucitated in the ambulance before arriving at the ER. He tells the doctors he has severe Cardiomyopathy and has had an Inferior Myocardial Infarction (Heart Attack), he is awaiting a Heart Transplant. Sandy a 13 year girl old comes into the ER having a severe Asthma attack, Doug treats her and she recovers, Doug prescribes inhalers and a nebuliser and sends her home.


Later on Sandy is back, she has had another Asthma attack, her mother has not brought the medication because she cannot afford it. Doug (with Carols help) steals some steroids from the ER. Doug later borrows some money of Mark and uses it to buy the inhaler himself which he takes round to them after work, they are extremely grateful. Mark and Peter desperately try to keep Sam Gesner he is shocked a number of times after arresting. Dr Kayson reviews him, if he doesn't get a Heart Transplant tonight he will die.


Mark desperately searches for a donor, unfortunately Gesner is blood group A a difficult donor group to find. Gasners wife and nine year old daughter arrive, Mark has to tell them he is dying. Carol has to do a double shift and Susan is working all night. Benton is practising tying one handed knots whilst listening to 'Trends in Cardiac Surgery, Volume 2'.


Ivan the liquor store owner comes in with a self inflicted gun shot wound to the foot, he shot himself whilst defending himself in a stickup. Susan talks to Div about her increasing problems with Dr Kayson. Daniel Quinn is brought into the ER by his mates comatosed from an all night drinking session. Susan treats him, his blood pressure is 80/70 and he is cyanotic. Carter and Susan desperately administer fluids, Narcan (Naloxone, used for opiod overdose), Dopamine (Increase Cardiac Output) and Hyperventilate him. They continue giving him fluids, his blood alcohol comes back as 832, he needs immediate dialysis, it works. Luckily his Kidney and Liver function is normal, Daniel comes round and promises never to do this again. Sam Gesner crashes again, Mark tries Cardiac massages but he eventually dies before a heart is found.


Mark gets home at 7.30am, and tells Jenn he will go to Milwaukee, Jenn lets him of by saying 'You'd hate it there'. Rachel gets into bed with them and they all cuddle.

4) Hit and Run

Benton has to wake Carter, Carter slept right through Benton's page (bleep in the UK). Jenn is going for a job interview, it is obvious that Mark and Jenn's marriage is in difficulty. Mrs Sheff brings Ozzie a young boy in complaining he cannot hear correctly. Doug tests Ozzies hearing and it is fine. Doug asks the mother what Ozzie cannot hear, she says her mother, the ice-cream man, Princess Diana. Doug learns that her mother is dead and calls for a psychiatist consultation and to get social services for Ozzie who is perfectly fit and healthy. Doug lies to Ozzie telling him that he can stay with his mentally ill mother, Carol says that this is his typically cowardly behaviour.


Mark sees Mrs Zevallo a woman with a history of heart attacks, she has an internal defibrillator. Complaining of chest pain, Mark does a full Cardiac work up before Mrs Zevallo does a large belch, she returns to normal. It is then noted that her internal defibrillator is being set of by another patients mobile phone !! Both Peter and Sarah Langworthy have put in for next years Starzl Fellowship, Sarah is third year and Benton is only second.


A 17 year old brought into the ER in full Cardiac arrest, blown pupils and no vital signs. He had a skull fracture, C5 fracture (Fifth neck vertebrae), a ruptured diaphragm and a haemopneumothorax. He is pronounced dead.


Carter has to identify the dead teenager using his high school yearbook, Carter calls the wrong parents who are told there son is dead, then on viewing the body say that it is not there son. Carter later identifies the deceased as David Fisher. Susan has to deal with a salesman who is to busy working to be bothered to listen to her diagnosis and sort out his own health, Susan discharges him. Walt delivers Peters car, it needed a new transmission. Walt confirms that Peter will sit with his mother this evening as Walt and his wife are going out to celebrate there 10th wedding anniversary. Peter says he will be home by 8.30pm. Doug finally tells the young boy the truth, Carol watches as Doug embraces the sobbing child. Mr Shearer age 65 comes in unconscious wearing leather pants and handcuffed to a naked blonde named Priscilla. He was complaining of chest pain, his ECG shows ST elevation (NOT Sinus Tachycardia, but elevation of the part of the ECG between the S and the T waves, signifies that he has had an acute myocardial infarction (heart attack)). Mrs Shearer (Mr Shearers wife) arrives in the ER, the now conscious Mr Shearer passes out again when he sees her. Mrs Shearer then finds the leather pants he was wearing and a naked Priscilla, who is her secretary. Mrs Shearer leaves the hospital. Peter is given the opportunity to assist on a Whipple Procedure (Sewing the Pancreas to the stomach so that enzymes are released directly into the stomach, used for patients with cancer of the head of the pancreas, which must therefore be removed).


Peter forgets that he is meant to be at home looking after his mother. Later Walt confronts him accusing him of putting work before his mother. Carter confides in Jerry that he doesn't think he is cut out for the ER. Carter and Haleh then deliver a baby girl in a car outside the ER to a woman who arrived in the final stages of Labour. This convinces Carter that he should stay in the ER. Doug shows up drunk at Carol door at midnight, Tag answers, Doug makes some lame excuse and leaves. Carol chases after him yelling 'What were you thinking? I will not let you do this tome again'. Doug kicks over a trash can and walks home alone.

5) Chicago Heat

Ross treats a girl with a heart problem, he eventually finds out that it is due to a cocaine overdose. He notifies child services, then he questions the father who swears he knows nothing. Doug refuses to release the girl into his care. The family undergoes drug testing, the father is clean but the older sister is not. Benton treats a 14 year old boy for a gun shot wound done by Ivan a store owner because the boy had shot Ivan in the previous episode. The boy dies. Chloe shows up at the ER, high on something and steals Susan's money and credit cards. When Susan gets home her apartment is open and her TV, etc gone. Ross meets Linda Farrell.

6) Another Perfect Day

Carter is trying to find a place to live. Doug has a Bagel from a basket of Bagels in the lounge, on finding out they are for Carol from Tagliari he throws the half eaten Bagel back with the rest.


A knife victim is brought into the ER, Benton takes it, Carter follows. We find out that Benton has a fellowship interview today, but normally only third years get accepted (Benton is a second year). The knife victim deteriorates, Benton has to suck blood from the guys lungs to intubate him. Every procedure is perfect and the kid stabilises. Morgenstern come in and tells Benton that he has done an excellent job.


Patrick, a simpleton, features throughout. Susan and Carol take care of him. We find out that it is Susan's birthdays and that she has been going out with Div for 2 months. Susan is called to an MVA, it turns out to be an ambulance full of staff wishing her happy birthday. Doug and Carol save a kid who almost drowned in a boating accident, they end up kissing. Carter does his first Lumbar Puncture, guided by Mark. He does it perfectly.


Peter meets outside Morgensterns office for his interview, Dr Langworthy is also there. She goes in first, her interview lasts about an hour. Benton goes in doesn't make a very good impression and his interview lasts about 5 minutes. Linda Farell turns up and bails out on her date with Doug. Carol tells Doug she is moving back in with Tag, Doug is upset.


Chloe turns up, start ranting and ends up putting her fist through a window. Peter stitches her up and Div says he will talk to her. Doug and Mark play basket ball, both are depressed and confused. Carter and Susan drink Champagne (Carter's reward for a perfect first Lumbar Puncture). Carter has had a good day, he has also found an apartment.

7) 9 1/2 Hours

Peter is in the lounge, someone has nicked his salad from the fridge, which is in a disgusting state. The ignition on Susan's car is shot (Chloe burned it out), she has to hot wire it (which she learnt how to do from one of Chloe's boyfriends). Mark calls in sick so he can spend some time with Jenn, guess what they spend most the day doing ? Doug is in charge of the ER and has no idea how to handle things.


Div snaps at Jerry and earlier at a cashier, Susan tells Div this was an unnecessary over reaction. Yet another sign that something is not right with Div. The Starzl fellowship announcements are today and Peter is anxious. we later learn that Sarah Langworthy gets it.


Carter offers to pay for Susan's ignition if she will help him get into theatre. Jamie Hendricks, a young girl brought into the ER after being gang raped by two of her boyfriends friends. Carol does the rape kit and tries to convince Jamie to testify against her attackers. Jamie leaves the hospital, she is later found by Carol outside crying, her boyfriend won't take her back because he does not believe that she was raped. Carol convinces her to come back inside. Mookie James is late for his first day in the ER, Haleh tells him off. His first assignment is to clean the refrigerator.


A seventeen year old wrestler comes into the ER after passing out. Benton sees him and determines that he is not a surgical candidate, whilst waiting for a consult his blood pressure drops to 70/60 and continues to fall. His heart then goes into an arrhythmia. Tox screen is negative but his electrolytes are completely screwed up, his potassium is extremely low. His heart is racing at 240 bpm (60-80 is normal), he does not respond to drugs (adenosine). Peter shocks him three times but it has no effect. Peter then blindly floats a pacing catheter into his right atrium in order to set the pacemaker at a high rate to capture and slowly bring it down to a more normal rate.


Later when the boy is awake Carter finds him doing strenuous exercise, he is deliberately cycling his weight up and down between wrestling matches by not eating. Carter tries to warm him that this will kill him but the wrestler does not listen. Sarah confronts Peter, she says he hates losing to a woman and accuses him of wanting to sleep with her. Benton replies that he does not want to sleep with her and has never even fantasised about it.


Ben McCabe a young boy is brought into the ER because he wasn't eating, he has a fever and a sore throat. he has epiglottitis causing airway obstruction. Doug begins intubation but cannot get a tube in. Peter comes in and after learning that the boy stopped breathing two minutes ago suggests a needle cricothyroidectomy (creating an artificial airway into the trachea), Doug says not yet but Peter goes ahead and puts it in, the boy immediately pinks up. Peter orders antibiotics and leaves. Doug is annoyed and confronts Peter about it, Peter admits it should have been Dougs call. Mrs Benton comes into the ER with a sprained ankle, she is disorientated and asks Peter when he grew his moustache (three years ago !). Benton orders Carter to take care of his mother and another patient so that he doesn't have time to go to the OR. Mrs Benton invites Carter to Thanksgiving dinner.


The new polish aide arrives in the ER, Doug christens her Bob because nobody can pronounce her proper name.

8) ER Confidential

Thanksgiving, a particularly nasty vehicular homicide convinces Carol to tell Tag that she slept with Doug after she was going out with Tag. A female patient that Carter is suturing turns out to be a Transvestite, the man later jumps of the Hospital roof. Carter is invited to Thanksgiving dinner by Benton's Mother. Div's depression continues, he doesn't show up at Susan's Thanksgiving dinner. The last we ever see of him he is wandering through the Traffic in the pouring rain.

9) Blizzard

The worst blizzard for year, ER has to handle a massive 30 car pile up. Doug is doing triage, he mislabels a patient who later dies. Bob (The polish surgeon who is working on the Admin desk) performs emergency surgery on an Abdominal Aneurysm, much to everyone else in the ER's surprise. Dr Hicks the new attending surgeon arrives, helps Benton reattach a man's severed leg. Carol reveals that Tag has asked her to marry him and given her a 12 thousand dollar engagement ring.

10) The Gift

It's Christmas. Benton must persuade a brain dead man's estranged wife to sign the papers allowing his organs to be donated. She finally signs the papers and the organs are harvested to help the lives of others. The closing scene is the man's heart being put in a Helicopter on it's way to another Transplant centre. Benton watches the Helicopter and it's "Gift" take off. Div (Susans Boyfriend) has mysteriously disappeared, he moves out of his apartment without telling her, we never see him again. Carter gives Susan a ride home and escorts her to her door, he tells her he is her Secret Santa. She gives him a peck on the cheek, he tries to kiss her on the lips, just before they touch lips she turns and says that it wouldn't be a good idea. She gives him a present that was meant for Div. We see Chloe, she tells Susan that she is going to name her new baby after her. Susan is not very pleased that Chloe is pregnant.

11) Happy New Year

Carter finally makes it to the Operating Theatre after impressing Benton with some confidant ER work. Susan is distressed that Chloe (who is now pregnant) and her current Boyfriend are moving to Texas. Susan doesn't believe that Chloe would make a good mother she tells mark Chloe should have an abortion. Susan consults Dr Kayson on a diagnoses of a patient, he blows her off because he is busy. The patient is released but comes back in later with a heart attack and dies, Kayson blames Susan. Bentons Mother is put in a nursing home by his sister against Bentons wishes.

Susan's confidence is seriously shaken after losing a patient in the last episode. Dr Kayson questions her abilities and brings up her diagnosis and incompetence before Dr Morgenstern. Morgenstern gives her a warning. Susan finds out that Mark is co-signing all her charts and is angry. Susan then almost screws up a prescription and cannot get a chest tube in, Mark has to do it. Carol gets stuck with a crack head's needle. She also sets a date for her wedding.

13) Long Days Journey

Doug discovers a boy with cancer, then treats a woman who fell of a ladder. Doug treats a homeless teenager who works the streets to live, he discovers that the teenager probably has AIDS. After refusing treatment the teenager leaves with Condoms and some help-numbers.Susan is nervous about a review concerning her clash with Dr Kayson, the review goes her way, Dr Kayson is blamed, Susan is delighted. Later Dr Kayson is admitted with chest pains, Susan treats him. Dr Kayson clearly indicates that he want TPA and NOT angioplasty contrary to what another Cardiologist recommends. Susan displays a new confidence and aggressiveness standing her ground, she makes sure that Dr Kayson gets the treatment he want's other wise she will 'fry his [The other Cardiologist] ass....'. Deb (Medical Student) proves to have a Photographic memory and a habit of upstaging Carter.

15) Make of Two Hearts

A woman abandons her recently adopted (polish) daughter (Tatiana) in the ER, she has AIDS. Carol becomes very attached to her but feels helpless. A cop brings in a dog that he ran over. Mark and Susan make up. Dr Kayson sees Susan as his angel and asks her out on a date, she politely refuses. A cheer leading team are brought into the ER after eating LSD laced chocolates!! Later Deb eats some of the chocolates.

16) The Birthday Party

The little girl with aids is moved into a hospice, Carol tells Tag that she wants to adopt her, but he is not at all keen. Doug punches a babies father after discovering a boot mark on the babies back, she had been kicked out a window. Carter overhears Benton talking about his mothers Birthday party and thinks it is Peters Birthday. He arranges two belly dancers as a present :-). Benton cannot get anyone to take his shift and gets home late for his mothers party. It is also Rachel Greenes Birthday, Mark gets home an hour late, Jenn tells him that she has accepted a job as a law clerk for a judge in Milwaukee without consulting Mark first. Mark gives her a present from Susan and they get into another fight.

17) Sleepless in Chicago

Benton has a straight 48 hour shift because he traded shifts to get to be with his mother. Dr Hicks finds out and orders him not to see any more patients until he has had some sleep. Carol is told that her adoption of Tatiana is almost definite, she asks Tatiania if she wants to live with Carol and she says yes. Doug is the only person that supports Carol, everyone else is against the idea. Mark learns that Dr Morgenstern is moving to a different hospital and that his job next year as attending isn't rock solid, the new Chief surgeon will need to approve his posting. A psych patient suggests that Mark and Jenn could resolve their problems by moving to Kenosha, a town half way between Chicago and Milwaukee. When Mark gets home Jenn tells him she is leaving him. Doug finally gets a date with Diane Leeds. At the end of the show Carol learns that she cannot adopt Tatiana because she tried to commit suicide nine months ago (Pilot Episode). Carol is devastated, she goes to Doug's apartment for comforting and tries to kiss Doug. Doug shies away and tells her not to. Doug offers to drive Carol home. Benton goes home to watch his mother, in the early hours she cries out but Benton is asleep on the couch, he doesn't hear her. Benton only wakes after his mother falls down the stairs. She is rushed to the ER where Carter and Susan work on her, Benton is in a state of shock.

18) Love's Labour Lost

It's 7am, Doug and Mark are outside the ER playing football when a speeding car almost runs over Doug, a man is thrown from the back seat with gunshot wounds. Bentons mother has a broken hip, Benton pages the head of Orthopaedics and convinces him to do the surgery but he won't let Benton assist. After releasing a pregnant woman her husband comes back in screaming that she is having a seizure and calling for help. Mark is agonised that he made such a mistake. Throughout the rest of the show complications arise with the woman and her pregnancy. Mark is forced to induce labour and deliver the baby in the ER when nobody from prenatal is available. The baby gets stuck on the Pubic bone on the way out forcing mark to do an Emergency Caesarean Section. There are more complications, the baby survives but the mother dies. On his way home on the 7am train Mark lets his frustration out.

19) Full Moon, Saturday Night

Mark continues his downwards spiral. Doug has a date with Diane Leeds, he leaves the hospital, the next we see he is in bed with her. Susan tells Mark to go home she will look after the ER. Mark goes to the dinner where a cyclist sits down next to him and tries to start a conversation, Mark gets up and sits elsewhere. Carter and Deb continue their rivalry. Later with Susan in charge and emergency call for 15 to 20 people comes in, it turns out that the new head of surgery 'Wild Willy' (Dr Swift) has made the call to see how long all the attendings take to get there. Mark is in a noisy arcade and doesn't hear his bleep. When Mark eventually gets in 1 hour 47 minutes late he is surprised that the new head of surgery is the cyclist he ignored in the diner (The person who needs to approve him as attending). The ending scene is Mark sitting on bench outside the subway, Jenn finds him there and offers to buy him breakfast, he hesitantly agrees. She tells him it wasn't his fault.

20) House of Cards

Mark and Wild Willy disagree on a diagnosis. Mark is assigned a pregnant woman to diagnose but he passes it to Susan. After questioning him about it Wild Willy tells Mark he would like him to present the case where the pregnant woman died in a conference to the residents. Jake (Diane's Son) tells Doug he knows about him and his Mum. Doug buys Jake a new Mountain bike, Diane isn't overjoyed about it, but she doesn't seem angry. Peter and Jackie tell their mother they have to move her into a home, she isn't very happy about it. Deb and Carters competition hots up when Benton says he wants to see their cases books next week. Deb get jealous because Carter seems to be doing more procedures. She decides to put in a central line without a doctors permission but loses the wire in the patient. Emergency Surgery is required, Deb runs out realising that she could have killed the patient. Benton tells Carter to find Deb, Carter goes to Debs parents house where there is a party going on to celebrate Debs parents anniversary. Deb tells Carter that she is going to quit, Carter tries to talk her out of it but she says she only enjoys the science of it. Susan goes home to find that Chloe has returned many months pregnant and rather run down. Mark finally convinces a woman with Tuberculosis to bring her family in for treatment.

21) Men Plan, God Laughs

Chloe goes into hospital to have an Ultrasound and we find out that she has a baby girl. Susan still has some doubts about the Pregnancy. Doug agrees to be the assistant coach for Jakes little league team, he then meets up with Linda (an old girlfriend) and flirts a bit in front of Jake. She asks Doug out but he explains that he can't. Jenn tells mark to come up after his shift tonight, when Wild Willy tells Mark that he is needed for about two hours after his shift Mark refuses telling him that he has personal business. A 16 year old boy comes in with no feeling in his Left Arm and Leg, an MRI scan shows an aneurysm in his brain that is compressing the spinal column causing numbness.

The surgeon will not do the surgery so Benton has to borrow Carters jeep to search for another surgeon who is out jogging to look at the case. Wild Willy tells Carter that he needs Bentons charts right away, Carter stalls saying that he thinks Benton is still in surgery, Carter then finishes Bentons charts. Wild Willy puts Carter in charge of a rare lightening strike victim and is impressed with his performance, he tells Benton so. Benton is confused about his finished charts so Carter tells him he finished them, Benton mumbles his thanks. Benton goes out to dinner with Jeanie Boulet, his mothers former Physiotherapist. The tension between Mark and Jenn is evident. Mark asks if he can stay the night on the couch, Jenn reluctantly agrees. Mark goes to read Rachel a story, Jenn quietly sobs.

22) Love Among the Ruins

The show opens with Mark watching Jenn sleeping, she wakes and asks him what he is thinking, Mark replies the first summer after Rachel was born. Mark and Jenn end up kissing. We learn that Carter has applied for both the Surgical and ER Sub-Internship, but that he hasn't got Bentons recommendation for the Surgical Sub-I. Benton tells him to write one and he will sign it. Carter gives Benton the recommendation to sign and asks Benton what he wants from him, Benton replies nothing. Benton then asks him why he is applying to the surgery Sub-Internship, In response Carter rips up his recommendation. We learn that Carter is very rich, his father is the 27th richest person in Chicago. Benton is a bit resentful, he is three months behind in his student loans (Mark owes 115,000 dollars and Susan 85,000 dollars). Mark and Wild Willy clash over an attempted suicide patient. Later Willy tells Mark that Morgenstern said Mark was the best resident he had ever seen, but he hasn't shown any of that talent. Willy tells him to get an attitude adjustment. Mark admits to Susan that Willy was probably right. Later Mark and Willy work together to save the life of a boy who comes in with a coat hanger stuck in his throat. During Jake's baseball game, Jake hits a long ball and misses touching first base Dog ignores it and tells him to keep running. When questioned Doug denies it. Later Doug apologises to Jake for what he did but they decide not to tell Jakes mum anyway. Carol is nervous about her upcoming wedding, we learn that Doug has not been invited. When Susan gets home she has another argument with Chloe, telling her that she is not going to support her and bail her out anymore. When Mark gets back to Miluwakee Jenn asks him to come to bed, they are interrupted by Rachel and all end up snuggling.
