Materials:
Hoof pick w/hard bristeled brush
Hoof oil
Cloth
Pick hooves out thoroughly and with the brush, brush out more hidden dirt on the frog (lightly) and in the grooves. Brush the coronary band and hoof wall with it, too. Then take a cloth and wipe the hoof wall. Make sure hoof is clean. Then take hoof oil, cream, etc. and massage it well into the heel, hoof wall and coronary band. For shows, you can also put hoof polish on when oil or cream is dry. Avoid putting too much polish on, for it'll dry out the feet. And avoid putting too much oil and/or cream on, for it'll make the feet too soft, wet, and sensitive.
