1. Place your hand on the horses head, and turn on the clippers. Put the back of the clippers against your hand so the horse gets used to the clippers.
2. The throatlatch sports some pretty long goat hairs. Trim and blend them in with a longer set of blades (or with the clippers that have adjustable blades).
3. Clip the muzzle hairs by trimming against the growth of the hair with the finest blade.
4. To take off hair in the nostrils, pull back the skin folds and gently whisk them away.
5. Remove long feeler lashes by first closing the horse's eye and then trimming them off. Never clip the eyelashes.
6. To shave the bridlepath, use your #30 or #40 blades and clip the growth about 1-1 1/2 inches length.
