How can you subscribe to the Transylvania Lobby discussion forum?

1. Send an empty mail to Erdely-subscribe@onelist.com or  

2. Visit http://www.onelist.com/group/Erdely, then click on the "Join community" button. 
           

After subscription send your postings to Erdely@onelist.com please add it on your address list (Outlook Express: Address Book, New Contact).  

I suggest you:  

- to create a new folder with the "Transylvania" name (Outlook Express: File, Folder, New),

- and to create a new message rule (Outlook Express: Tools, Message Rules, Mail, New, Where the Subject line contains [Erdely] Move it to the "Transylvania" folder),  

in order to have all messages from this list in a separate folder.

• You can send your messages on the list in any of the languages spoken in Transylvania: Hungarian, Romanian, German, etc., but English is also welcome. My dream is that you post your message in your mother tongue, the text is processed by a software, and then is sent to each list member in his/her language. "You may say, I am a dreamer, but I am not the only one". No file attachments are allowed;

• Send your messages as "Plain text", and not as HTML;

• In order to display the Eastern-European characters correctly, do the following:

When writing a new letter (Outlook Express: New Message - Format - Encoding) please select the Central European ISO or Windows character set.

Tools - Options - Send - Plain text settings - MIME Encode text using: Quoted printable - Allow 8-bit characters in headers? No (unchecked box).

The simpiest way is to specifiy in the Address Book for this address - erdely@onelist.com - the "Send E-mail using plain text only" option, and thus you will be able to use HTML (colors, boldface, italics, etc.) for other destinations.

If you know Hungarian or Romanian and you see some strange combinations in stead of national chaacters, e.g. =F6, =FC stb. (MIME codes) I suggest you to download the utility shown below:
