The
Eastern Region Dragon Boat Federation - USA, founded in 2000, is the
regional body that organizes, promotes and coordinates all dragon boat
activities in the Eastern Region of the United States, East of the Mississippi
to the Atlantic Ocean. ERDBF – USA is a Not-for-Profit
organization. It has filed for 501c3 status.
The
ERDBF-USA consists of dragon boat festival organizers, paddling clubs,
individuals and commercial companies. It assists in all levels of dragon
boat racing - from forming a team, to coaching, to steering, to officiating, to
festival organization to cultural awareness..
The ERDBF-USA had representatives on
men, women, mixed (coed), juniors, masters dragon boat crews which competed in
World, International, National, and Regional championships as well as local
festivals. ERDBF-USA members account for almost half of the USA National teams'
crew at the 2001 World Dragon Boat Championships. We are currently seeking to
start cancer survivor crews..
The
ERDBF – USA is the recognized Eastern Regional member of the United States
Dragon Boat Federation (USDBF)
