Save The Alaskan National Wildlife Refuge

President George W. Bush wants to drill for oil in the ecologically important Alaskan National Wildlife Refuge and build a pipeline through the breeding grounds of the Yukon and Alaskan caribou herd! Since this could be potentially dangerous it is not a good thing for a sensitive environment. There is not even enough oil in Alaska to sustain the US for more than 6 months. It's not economically viable and many of the jobs we've heard will be created are only temporary construction jobs. A better way to solve today's energy crisis would be conservation and using clean, renewable sources such as wind power and solar power. Tell the president you don't want him to disrupt Alaska's National Parks for some oil. Energy conservation and public education programs would be much more proactive
