Contests:

Creative Email Contest:

Prize: Singing Enrique Doll
Who's Eligible: Everyone but moderators (I need that mods as judges)
What do you have to do: Whomever creates the most creative email to send a station and gets a reply. IMPORTANT: the email has to be creative enough to get a reply. That might mean researching the station and thinking a little more but I think you can all do it. Don't write a page. The DJ's won't read it. Try to keep it short but creative.

Once you have your creative email and the reply to it, forward both to:

enriquerequest@yahoo.com

When the contest ends: June 16, 2000

Regional Request Contest:

Prizes: Singing Enrique Doll, Star Requesters page, Singles of "Be With You" and "Solo...", Tshirts and flashlights
Who's Eligible: Everyone on the EIRF@egroups.com mailing list.
What do you have to do: You would be wise to save the list of emails I have sent out. Remember to mark each email address you send a mail to so that when I call for the counts you can send me an email like this one with the numbers next to the email.

When the contest ends: July 28, 2000

Savage Garden Request Contest:

Prizes: Director's cut of Crash and Burn video
Who's Eligible: Everyone
What do you have to do: E-mail your local radio station, plus stations with an on line listening link, and request Crash. The two people with the MOST eligible e-mails wins.
Rules:

1. Be NICE in your radio requests, be polite and ALWAYS thank them for reading your comments. Being nice, polite and respectful to radio IS required. We don't want to hurt SG. Only help. It's helpful, but not required, to tell them that you are a regular listener. If you can, mention what shows or times you listen to. Say nice things about their station and on-air personalities

2. IF you are outside the country, use a e-mail address like yahoo or hotmail so that the station can't tell where you are e-mailing from. If you only use AOL, ONLY contact stations within the US.

3. Don't talk about fan promotion or our promotion efforts or organized mail floods. You want them to think that you are an average listener giving his/her opinion.

4. ONLY ONE station per e-mail. Copy and paste the text, and send as many e-mails per day as you want. But ONLY send one station at a time. It's a dead giveaway that you really aren't a listener if you list several stations in a mass mailing.

When the contest ends: June 21, 2000
