The YuenAn Clan was a family dedicated to the Emperor of Kim. YuenAn Bu Po was a general working for the Nation of Kim. During Song Dynasty, he had fought against the famous general Auk Fay of the Song Empire. He brought his sister, YuenAn Mo Leu along with him in the battlefield. Their loyalty to their emperor was also part of their family's pride. Unfortunately, YuenAn Bu Po had fallen in love with the pionneer commander of the Song side, Auk Un Ping. Thus he could not win a decisive victory against the Song. By accident, he was also turned into a viral strain vampire. As a viral strain vampire, he had the ability to figure out the emotions of the Goddess of Yiu Chi and lived through 800 years without any physical changes.

YuenAn Bu Po had led a very sad life of loneliness, as he cannot be with the ones he loved. But he had tried his best to preserve the lives on Earth. By living through 800 years, he sounded very mature and very thoughtful in MDWAV3, definitely a more mature character than ShanBun Yat Fu of MDWAV1.

Mo Yau

Mo Yau is a descendanat of the famed Ghostbuster Mo Siu Fong of the South. As a descendant of Mo Clan, she had to follow the inheritant of Mo Clan, Ho Ying Kau, and learned the ways of Tao from him. Ma Siu Ling was always Mo Yau's competitor when they were young. After Ma Danna passed away, Ma Siu Ling had moved in to Mo Yau's place. They became very good friends even though their style differs. Ma Siu Ling dressed in a very conservative manner while Mo Yau wore mini skirts. Mo Yau is the one who taught Ma Siu Ling about fashion and makeup. Although Mo Yau appears to be a slacker in terms of learning the way of Tao. She had demonstrated that she can win against Siu Ling during a competition to be the sole inheritant of both Mo and Ma Clan.

Mo Yau has a very sad love life as she had loved the wrong guy, Edward, when she was young. Due to her ill judgement, she had misused the Resurrection Spell created by Ho Yau Kau. She was penalized to give up all her Tao power to Ma Siu Ling, and was also forced to go to the United Kingdom. After becoming a Hong Kong police sergeant, she met Mars. Mars had been chasing after her for years, but she had not accepted him due to her past wounds. After several years of overseas training, she became the commander of a SDU (Special Duties Unit) Team and she met Ma Siu Ling again.

It was as if Mo Yau can never avoid the fated path prepared for her. As a descendant of the Mo Clan, she couldn't escape her battles against vampires and ghosts. Even after she became a police sergeant, she was still assigned to catch ghost in the special tasks force. Mo Yau is supposed to be a cool character except the episodes when she sobbed about Mars' death. She is a very good friend of Ma Siu Ling and she is also Fong Fok Sung's temporary object of affection.

YuenAn Mo Leu

The sister of YuenAn Bu Po, YuenAn Mo Leu was a famed witch of Kim. She could use her flute to control the spirits of Wolves and Bloody spirits. Her love for her brother was only surpassed by her love for Mr. X. She was killed by her own brother accidentally in Song Dynasty during the battle at Ju Sin Jun. She was kept alive (though she doesn't breathe anymore) by the power of the Everlasting Locket given by Auk Un Ping. She tried to be her brother's best companion, but as the power of the locket wanes, she tried to find her true love before she died. In order to please Mr. X, she had worked at a convenience store. Slowly, she had gained the love of Mr. X, but it was already too late...

Gin Tao

Gin Tao was an orphan raised by the Song General Auk Fay. He didn't know who his parents were and his name was given by Auk Fay also. Naturally, he joined the Auk Clan Army and eventually rose to the rank of pioneer commander. He treated Auk Un Ping as a sister. During the battle against the Kim, his troop members were all killed. He was saved by Ma Siu Ling and was brought to year 2004. The Poon Gu has forcasted that he can help fight against the Goddess of Yiu Chi since he is the previous life of Fong Tin Yau.

He didn't accept the environment of year 2004 at first, but he eventually got use to it through the help of Fong Fok Sung, the SDU, and Ma Siu Ling. After he gotten the news of Fong Tin Yau's death, he expressed his love toward Ma Siu Ling, but he was rejected by her, as she explained that he could never replace Tin Yau.

Being sent by Uncle Kau to clean up the Infernal Regions, Gin Tao was absorbed by the infernal ghosts. Through his persistence, and generosity, he was able to bring the infernal ghosts out of hell. As a last move, he had also brought up his other Song Dynasty companions from hell to become a new dragon of Ma Clan after they have repent from their past deed.

Fong Tin Ai

Fong Tin Ai was the daughter of Fong Tin Yau and Ma Siu Ling. A very mysterious character since she had time traveled from 2025 to come back to 2004. She was sent by a dying Tin Yau of 2025 to come back to 2004 to look for her mother. She was found by Sky in the street and he brought her to work at Waiting Bar. She did not like the 2004 version of Ma Siu Ling at first, but she started to like her after she became Siu Ling's assistant. Since she did not know she was a vampire herself, Tin Ai couldn't control her power effectively the first time she transformed after she met the Goddess of Yiu Chi. And she bite Ma Siu Ling by accident.

After Ma Siu Ling became a vampire, Tin Ai had fought against her but she remains to love her mother. She tried to protect her and be a nice friend to her after she lost her memories. She was also protected by Tin Yau since Tin Yau had assumed the responsibility of a father. Tin Ai is 20 years old in this series but sometimes she acts very young, especially when she got lost on her way home. She also act a bit more childish in front of her grandfather, Ma Dai Long.

Tin Ai's hatred of Siu Ling was stemmed from the fact that she believed Siu Ling had sacrificed the whole world population by interfering Tin Yau's participation in the battle against the Goddess of Yiu Chi. However, in year 2004, history was changed and Tin Yau and Siu Ling had both participated the battle even though they know that Tin Ai would dissappear when history changes.

Tin Ai is the so-called "next-generation" character in the MDWAV series. If there is going to be a MDWAV4, she will inevitably have a major role in it, and possibley extend her love with Sky. A book called the Legend of Tin Ai was also written by the scriptwriter of My Date with a Vampire, Thirteen Chan, before the filming of MDWAV3.

Ho Yau Kau is a younger brother of Ho Ying Kau. They were both students of the Mo Clan Tao skills. He was deemed as a prodigy of Tao as he can create powerful weapons against ghost, or magical ghostly weapons against humans, such as the music box of Alice. Unfortunately, Yau Kau wrote the forbidden Resurrection Spell when he was young in order to revive his girlfriend, June. As it was forbidden for Tao learners to try to resurrect a dead soul, he was ousted by Ho Ying Kau from the Mo Clan.

Somehow, he became the possessor of the Book of Heaven later on in his life. He found out his fate by using the Book of Heaven (similar to a computer, it outputs results after all the information of the world was processed), and he despised the fact that he was fated to not be able to resurrect his girlfriend. At the same time, he had also discovered that the Book of Heaven can be changed through miracles made by Ma Siu Ling in Song Dynasty. Hence he tried to change his fate while the Book of Heaven was reorganizing.

Unfortunately, he was possessed by an unidentified thing called Fate who resides inside the Book of Heaven. While he was possessed, Fate had killed both Yau Kau's older brother, Ying Kau, and June. Even when Yau Kau was crying, he couldn't force Fate out of his body.

After Fate took over the body of the Goddess of Yiu Chi, he released Ho Yau Kau's body. But Fate still left a trace of himself in Yau Kau's body as a precaution. It isn't known what had actually happened to Yau Kau afterwards.

Auk Un Ping

Sheung Aun or Chang Er is a chinese mythological character, there are numerous versions of stories about how she flew off to the moon. But the main plot usually relates to her consumming an elixir of immortality. Other stories have said that Sheung Aun was actually a servant living in the palace of Goddess Yiu Chi, but was exiled to Earth after she broke a vase in the palace. One version has also said that Chang Er was married to Hou Yi, the mythical warrior who shot down nine Suns in order to save the world from the drought. In the world of MDWAV1, Fok Sung have mentioned that Sheung Aun cannot possibly be a human if she is to live on the moon since there's no air over there and the temperature is too low for humans.

However, in MDWAV3, Sheung Aun was shown to be the lover of Yan Wong, who, in sickness, was destined to die as a mortal human. Yan Wong, afraid of loosing her, had begged the Goddess of Yiu Chi for the Pill of Immortality. As Sheung Aun took in the Pill of Immortality, she began to feel better, but her body became lighter and lighter until she flew off from Earth and landed on the Moon. From then on, she was forced to live alone on the Moon, separated from her beloved Yan Wong. According to the Goddess of Yiu Chi, Sheung Aun was a human, and hence she is intrinsically flawed, unlike the gods, hence the immortality drug has side effects on her.

Through special effects, MDWAV3 had also shown that Sheung Aun likes to keep a record of Earth's history on the Moon by engraving characters on the Moon's surface. After being tricked by Fate to come down on Earth to seek revenge, she was controlled by Fate, and was forced to become a vampire who kills for power. Ma Siu Fu was very protective of Sheung Aun, but Sheung Aun cannot forget her love for Yan Wong. After discovering that she was spreading a horrible contagious disease on Earth, she decides to fly back to the moon and die alone over there. Though the character of Sheung Aun is good and deserves the audience's pity, I believe Asuka Higuchi didn't do a good job playing this role due to her constant shrugging during a conversation. She had a better performance in MDWAV2, playing Ming Yat.

Mars

A very responsible leader of the SDU second unit, he loved Mo Yau since the time when they were training in the UK. He was described by Mo Yau as a bit too ambitious even though he didn't do anything overambitious in the drama. He had been waiting to have a dinner date with Mo Yau for years, but he never knew why she always turned down his offer. Unfortunately he never had the chance to find out because he was killed during the operation to retrieve the Alice musical box.

Although Mo Yau had tried to revive him using the Forbidden Resurrection Spell, his spirit had given up that chance because he truly loves Mo Yau.

Auk Fay

Yan Wong was created by the Poon Gu clan as the King of Mankind on Earth, an immortal that was made as a blueprint of Nu Wo's "humans". He had vowed to care and to love his "citizens". To mark him as a King, Poon Gu has also given him a very powerful weapon - the Bow of Fok Hei. As the first "Man" on Earth, he was silent, as there was no one who can listen to him. He have described that feeling as the boredom of oneness. Upon seeing the Goddess of Yiu Chi, he had immediately found a refuge from boredom. The couple fell in love without ever witnessing love elsewhere. However, due to the different positions that they were assigned by the Poon Gu clan, they were led to disagreements upon the fate of Men.

Yan Wong believes that the "humans" created by Nu Wo are all good, and they will remain so under his lead. Yiu Chi, however, already knows that Poon Gu have already noticed the flaws in the "humans" created by Nu Wo, hence she understands that she would have to play the role of a judge to humans. After their arguments, Yan Wong left the Goddess of Yiu Chi and subsequently fell in love with Sheung Aun, as he takes on the role of Hou Yi in mythology. Unfortunately, he wishes Sheung Aun to be an immortal as he was, and so led to Sheung Aun's flight to the Moon.

Due to his loss of Sheung Aun, he began to war against the Goddess of Yiu Chi and this war was said to have almost destroyed the whole Earth. This war had led to the mythological incidence of Hou Yi shooting the nine suns to save Earth from being destroyed. But under the pressure of the Poon Gu Elders, Yan Wong and the Goddess were separated to minimize their damage toward Earth. Yan Wong was forced to lock up most of his powers and lead the life of a normal human while Yiu Chi was locked up in the Poon Gu Sacred Land.

During the years after the war has ended, Yan Wong had the idea to actually conquer the whole world, he thought that he can save human from moral degradations only if he becomes a true ruler. Thus, he adopted the identity of the invincible Genghis Khan. But later on, he gave up on that idea and return to his former state of a normal human. In the 1970s, he encountered Tong Kim Bo, who was attracted to him immediately. Yan Wong was not interested in her, but he had tried to rescue her upon the begging of Ma Dai Long. After many years, by 2004, Yan Wong changed his identity into a typical [junior] high school teacher. By coincidence, he was also Fong Fok Sung's PE teacher. He had already found another object of affection, and her name is Lum Lum. After Yiu Chi Goddess returned to Earth in 2004, Yan Wong was forced to awake from his own seal while Yiu Chi was threatening Lum Lum.

Thus, Yan Wong was once again in war with the Goddess of Yiu Chi. At the last episode, the couple finally reveal their true motive and identity, and also admit their "love" for each other.

Goddess of Yiu Chi

The Goddess of Yiu Chi was Poon Gu's most beautiful figure. She was assigned the job to reward good people and punish bad people. She has a really strong sense of love and hate, but she is very faithful to her first and only love, Yan Wong. She believes that she is the saddest person because she lost his love through no fault of her own. Her attempt to "save" Sheung Aun had made Yan Wong more angry toward her. She manipulated YuenAn Bu Po and threatened Ho Yau Kau to achieve the mission that was assigned to her. The definition of love is so vague toward the end of the story, that it is weird how one can think of Fate loving the Goddess of Yiu Chi.

A mysterious character who seems to know everything ahead of time. Even to the end of MDWAV3, her motive and her emotions were never clearly presented. I believe she will remain a mysterious character just as Jeung Son did.

Ma Dai Long

Ma Dai Long is the father of Ma Siu Ling and Ma Siu Fu. As a male descendant of the Ma Clan, Ma Dai Long is responsible to continue the clan's legacy by marriage. His aunt, Ma Danna had always bug him about marrying a proper girl instead of playing with his guitar. He is not a great artist, but he is a very loyal friend of Tong Kim Bo. But due to his shyness, he did not dare to express his feelings toward her. Fortunately, Tong Kim Bo knows about this, and she encouraged him to go after his dream before she was killed in a car accident. Thus, he has a saying which he adopted from her, "Believe and it will happen" and vice versa.

Due to his firm believe, he used his love to keep playing guitar at Tong Kim Bo's bedside. His action and devotion have moved the Keeper of Hell, who brought Kim Bo back to him and told him that she can stay alive for one more year. In that one year, Kim Bo and Dai Long got married, and Kim Bo bore Ma Siu Fu and Ma Siu Ling. Due to misfortune, Ma Dai Long had to be separated from his children, and not letting them to know who he is. Hence, Ma Dai Long can only protect them from afar.

All through Ma Dai Long's life, he had used his wife's saying as his number one motto. Either in remembrance of his wife, or something he thinks is important, it is not known.
