During my survey of several students at Yucca Valley High School, I have learned many different facts. Many students have only learned about e.coli recently, due to the book Toxin, in Mr. Nicholson’s English class. Every one that I encountered and ask knew where e.coli comes from, ground beef. I was surprised at this finding. Usually, you will encounter a “funny guy” that likes to mark the obviously wrong answers, but not this time. Although, many people claim to know and like the book Toxin, no one I conducted this interview on has read any more books by Dr. Cook. Most people cared for the topic of e.coli, but only twenty percent stated it was a very serious problem.
