Vector is a book written by Robin Cook. It is a colorful tale of a medical thriller, that keeps you up at night, just thinking about it. It is woven together with the same premise of the medical community coming to the rescue at the last moment.
The book begins with a man dying suddenly after breathing in anthrax hiden in a letter. The man was a test subject for a bioterrorist Yuri Darydos. Mr. Darydos is a Russian emigre to the United States, he was a cab driver. Distributed and disallusionedm Mr. Darydos decides to return to his native Russia, but he desides to punish the people of New York for treating him so badely.
Dr. Jack Stapleton, one of the heroes, is a forensic pathologist and infectious disease expert. His partneris his co-worker, Dr. Laurie Montgomerery. Together, they encounter the deadyly bopdy antherax victim, and unravel the plot between Mr. Darydos, and his partner, members of a neo- Nazi group called the Peoples Aryan Army (PAA).
Mr. Darydos plans on relesing weapons grade anthrax into Central Park in New York. But the PAA wants to release the anthrax into the Jacob Javtis Federal Building. Thier disagreement causes the PAA to kill Mr. Darydos to get control of the anthrax.  Mr. Darydos has made a fool-proof plan that in the case of his death, he would make sure that the people who killed him would also die.
The story is well-written but is a little repetitive, like his other stories. The doctor again saves the day. I guess we should just listen to our doctors
