Becky (Ch. 9-12)

In the beginning of chapter nine, Becky seemed like she was going to be all right. She was breathing normally and sleeping regularly. As the story progresses, her symptoms just get worse. She seems to be getting into a deeper state of sickness. There seems that there is nothing the hospital staff can do. It is apparent that Becky does have E. coli. This disease is supposed to be unpredictable and relentless. After a while, Becky gets the symptoms of HUS. This is now known to be a fatal disease. All that comes to Becky is only more suffering. She soon gets kidney failure. After that it starts to shut down other internal organs. Becky soon gets an acute abdomen, which her own father can’t fix because he is being a menace. There seems to be no signs that Becky will be getting better. She seems as though to be listless. There is barely any signs of life in her. Then she had seizure, which started to only make things worse. Her symptoms then started to affect her heart. Becky literally kept dying. Her heart wasn’t normal. She kept going into cardiac arrest. When this was happening, her father could only think to help, but wasn’t very helpful. He soon got on top of her to get better recitation, it was so much better that it cracked several of her ribs. When that wasn’t working, he believed that he had to manually pump Becky’s heart. So he took a scalpel, rubbed her chest with goz and alcohol and split her open. He then cracked her ribs back and tried to pump her heart with his hand. He then notice the texture of her heart, it wasn’t normal. Her heart was perforated; there was absolutely nothing he could do. Becky was now deceased. Her time has past.
