Robin Cook Biography Robin Cook had some amazing things and some not so amazing things. The hard working sixty-six years old that he was did not stop him from acting like a youth. He had a remarkable life, from growing up in a little town of Woodside in Queens, New York. He said “We used to have to pass Yankee Stadium every time they want to their summer college (Robin Cook).”He happened to go to school in a lot of remarkable places like Columbia University Medical School and also going to Harvard. He decided to go into the Navy and stayed in there for two and a half years. They actually wanted him to stay but he didn’t. He is widely credited for starting the word “medical” into the thriller genre. He never got the chance to feel love because he never got married. He actually had known interest in making books. He couldn’t even write a five page essay for college. But he worked really hard and you could almost say it helped him a great deal. He doesn’t like to gamble. He did not come from a wetly family; it was very poor with nobody in his family going to college. There are so many admirable things in his life like writing 26 novels which is incredible. He wrote his first novel on a submarine for 75 days in the Navy. His first book was a smasher and it was defiantly a bestseller. He played so many sports in college like football. Robin Cook said “He was good at it.” I think to be a hero you have to be true heart and you have to help people. He wrote his books so that other people would learn something new and always helpful. He tried to succeed where no other person in his family had and that is going to college. I think that really shows that he was a hero. He excelled in his classes so he would not end up like his family being so poor. This guy had some bad things but he truly had a lot of good things and that they countered against the bad things. There were so many things he was. All in all he was a good person and he will go in as one of the best writers the world has ever seen. |
