Animal/Pet: Tamino, a falcon (not native to Leliel), and Aria, a blond fox, and
Genii, a Night Mare.
Weapon: Twin star blades, (curved star shaped weapons that are thrown at an
enemy. Returns much like a boomerang.) named Dean and Lynn.
History:
Ishtar
was born the legitimate heir to the kingdom of Leliel. Her mother, the warrior
before her, Magdalena had the gift of foresight and foresaw the Swarm's coming
invasion. So, soon after Ishtar was born, she sent her to live with a poor
family on the outskirts of the kingdom. Her only gift to her daughter was the
ring of night, to be used to transform into the warrior of night. Ishtar never
saw or met her real family.
At the age of
ten, Ishtar discovered that those that raised her, like she was their own true
daughter, were not her real parents. From this she believed that she was a
bastard child of some nobleman that had been abandoned at birth. A child of a
nobleman because of the ring she had, and its mysterious powers. Upset, she ran
away from home, were she found two abandoned creatures, one of which was not native to the land.
She adopted them out of compassion and well they were kinda all in the same
type of situation. When she returned home, late that night, it was to the ruins
of her once happy home and the death of her father and mother, Dean and Lynn.
They had been killed by the Swarm. Ishtar collected her father's weapons and
left, vowing to find the heir to the Leliel throne, not understanding her dying
adopted father’s last words. She never returned to Inge, where she was raised,
or what was left of it.
Since that day
Ishtar has been training and honing her skills to perfection. She is the most
agile Lelielite in all of Euphoria. At the age of 16 she, single-handedly,
captured and tamed a wild Night Mare, which she named Genii. Afterward she left
the kingdom of night, with her companions, in search of the warrior of night.
Personality/Appearence:
Ishtar
believes that she is not the true heir to Leliel and the Kingdom of Night. She
is determined to locate the true heir and aide him in the restoration of
Leliel. She is also interested in revenge for the death's of her second family.
Ishtar
has a fear of abandonment, which is natural after being on your own for seven
years. She also strives to prove her own self worth. Because of all this Ishtar
refuses to use magic, the common weapon of her people, and/or transform into
the warrior. She prefers to do things the old fashioned way... if possible,
otherwise she doesn't get involved or keeps a reasonable distance. Ishtar loves
spying on others, be they ally or foe, and surprise attacks, as long as she's the
one doing the surprising. She is an excellent climber and can jump higher and
run faster than most people and animals. She also has a small telepathic link
which she uses to speak to her animal friends, and no one else. She is a very
private individual, and figures it is always wiser to proceed with caution,
whether in battles or relationships.
Ishtar
refuses to believe anyone who tries to tell her of her legitimacy, and gets
very violent when people persist on her transforming or using magic. She usually
attacks or cast a harmful or painful spell on them, though she does this only
when people have pushed her too far and she loses her temper. All Lelielites
are known for being rather cool headed but once their ire is raised, watch out.
Hell hath no fury like a Lelielite pissed off.
Ishtar
has dark brown skin, blue eyes, and silver hair that reaches down to her waist.
Like all from the Night Kingdom she is elfin in appearance, except for the
longer length of her pointed ears, about the length of a donkey's, and they do
tend to droop when she's aggravated or feeling quite emotional; and a height
that doesn't exceed 5'3". She prefers to wear dark blue and black colours,
on all occasions. She mostly wears comfortable black leotards, covered by a
dark blue tunic and clasped together by a sturdy belt which also has her Star
Blades' sheaths. She also wears high boots, which, despite their appearance,
are very sturdy and adequate for all types of climates and terrains. A long time ago
Ishtar stole a Cloak of Shadows from a magic-user, on island of Lucfiso. This
cloak allows her to blend into the shadows as well as protect her from the
elements.
When
Ishtar transforms she becomes Pamina, Warrior of Night. She sprouts fairy wings
and she is armoured in what looks like a bathing suit, both of the same dark
blue colour. Gloves, and long boots are also a part of her costume. She has a
gem placed on her forehead, chest, and several around her waist. These gems
give her unlimited casting ability, but unfortunately they also drain some of
her physical energy for the spells used. Unless it is night time, then she
experiences no draining effect what-so-ever due to her being a descendant of
the Angel of Night, and heir to the throne. This costume usually makes it hard
for people to take her seriously, due to its fairy-like appearance. Although
she looks quite defenceless, she is, indeed, very well protected by the gems
around her waist. The gems possess the ability to project a magic shield, which
block most attacks by constructing a wall of force. The force field usually
vanishes once the attack is deflected, s it is no longer needed. The Warrior
Pamina can fly and becomes 3 times faster than normal. She still keeps her Star
Blades.
Ishtar
also dislikes transforming because she believes the costume to be degrading.
Powers:
Ishtar,
like all Lelielites, has natural magic casting abilities. She has a natural healing
power, which she will almost never use, unless it is a dire emergency or one of
her animals is injured. She can also levitate objects, and cast a globe of
darkness, which does nothing really but puts someone in the dark. She can also
reverse all these spells such as instead of casting a healing spell, a harming
spell; levitation to fall, and darkness to light. These aren't attacks, its
just natural Lelielite ability, besides she doesn't like to use them.
Ishtar
mostly uses surprise, stealth, and her star blades to attack. She always
attacks from a distance or hidden from her foe. She throws her Star Blades at
her enemy, and can mildly scratch or decapitate a victim, depending on the
force of the throw and its angle. The blades return directly after their
attack.
She
can command her falcon, Tamino to attack. His attacks are those of any avian
creature. Diving, Bombing and Blinding. Ishtar can also command her falcon to
hunt and retrieve. She can also command her fox, Aria to attack. Aria's attacks
are basically to make a nuisance of herself, by tripping or biting the enemy.
Aria also hunts and retrieves, as Ishtar bids.
"For
the Honour of Leliel!" is shouted with the ring of night held clasped in
her hand in front of her. The ring then disperses and a globe of darkness
surrounds her. It slowly shrinks until it has disappeared inside of her. After
a pause the darkness explodes out of her in waves and covers her in a sort of
cocoon. She uses her wings and breaks free as the Warrior of Night. The ring is
now a headband, its jewel glowing dimly.
Warrior
attack: Dark Sun. With both arms raised to the sky, Pamina calls Dark... and
spinning in a single circle... Sun! Above her burns a black fire ball about the
size of her head. She brings her arms down aiming for her enemy, and the dark
sun follows her movements and fires at the enemy engulfing them in a ball of
black flame. Can hit two enemies at a time if they are standing close together.
