Come, my love, and lay at my side
Beside the water, beneath the tree
That has sheltered us from the storms
So quickly arisen on the horizon.
We have held to each other
For safety and comfort
Until it has passed
And the sun shone once more.

Tears have flown down from this place
I sorrow, anger, relief and joy,
Purged us of all bitterness and pain
And filled us wilth happiness and new hope.

All has begun here, and will return
To this sacred place where I first
Looked into your eyes, touched your face,
Felt this peace and passion in your arms,
And a love so strong it shall outlast
The highest mountain and the deepest sea.
Nothing shall stand against it,
Not even our own strife and conflict.

For love is a feeling often unbidden
And once felt its power will hold you
From the moment of its birth
To its final breath.
Though it may be shunned and denied,
It can never be broken, and never truly fade.

Our love is that great, true love,
A love spoken of only in fairy tales
But existant nonetheless,
A gift from God given
To those worthy of receiving it,
And to those who need it
In the most unexpected ways.

If you are worthy
Then am I the gift sent from heaven,
Fallen on broken wings to be
Caught in your arms and brought back to health?

We were brought together for a reason,
Placed on this earth to find each other,
To love and cherish and care for one another.
Who has benefitted more?
It is hard to say.
But I have felt myself filled
With such a light that has sent me
Soaring toward the heavens
On broken wings renewed by your love.

I will hold you in my arms
And carry you with me
Back to the riverside
Beneath the tree
To our sanctuary where everything is ours
And no one can touch us.

This is our garden, our Eden
Where the first seed was planted
And the first flower grew
Out of the frozen ground
Now so full of life.

We are one here
And there is nothing else but you and I.
We are gods in this world,
Blessed anges of light..
We will lay here through the night
And praise the morning sun.
