U tellin' me that merely covering one's .38 Special would defeat the magnetometer? Just one hand? I know you were there, but I must remain skeptical until I try this for myself. Tim, I volunteer you again.

Also, what about all them thar new-fangled guns made out of titanium and turbonium and aluminium? Magnetometers pick up ferrous metals (iron alloys). Heck, you could take one of them Aluminum AirWeight S&W revolvers, drill out the steel barrel and you have a pretty good short-range undetectablamente gun.

What if you and a buddy or three went on the plane with those new (not so new) plastic knives and over-powered the pilot and co-pilot. Numbers make up for lack of fire power.
