Check out these two laws in the ARS under Title 33

ARS 33-1343 - Allows landlord to enter and inspect rental units
ARS 33-1904 - Allows the government to enter and inspect rental units
I believe that they have to give you notice before inspecting the units.
If they happen to see any thing illegal sitting around I think that they can report it to the police, and it can be used against you. But I'm not a lawyer so the advice is worth what you paid for it.
