We can NEVER count on the NRA to take a principled stand. Feel good legislation like the "Crime Bill" & "Brady" were passed so that the "anti-gunnies" wouldn't be able to use them as campaign issues. Hell, I remember the NRA apoligizing for Kyl's Crime Bill vote before he made it and THEN gave him an A+ rating AFTER he voted for it. This is why we Libertarians insist on the far more desirable "L rating" the NRA has given us in the past. The NRA (and sad to say, Knox) fear these freedom thieves - and they aren't even armed with the truth. The pursuit of votes will hand this country and its heritage over to the mob,... and the NRA will help.
