Boy, that Vin guy kicked some serious lackey butt.
Someone asked if open carry was legal in Nevada (and Las Vegas).
Vin answered thusly:

As some of you may remember, when I took my trip to Vegas last year, I made a point to call every cop-shop in the area to aske about gun law interpretations. I was told that, indeed, it was legal to carry openly in Vegas, but that the cops would stop and "harass" me (their words) or "check" me out everytime they saw me walking down the sidewalk and everytime they got a call from some gunphobe.
I asked them why they would bother doing that and one cop told me, "Well, wouldn't you want a cop to heck out someone with a gun?" I told them "No, I would expect to be left alone as the cops do in Phoenix."
The Vegas Metro cop said, "Well, this ain't Phoenix."
I told him that if he ever considered moving to Arizona... don't.
Since I wasn't driving (and not subject to random stops) I carried concealed the entire weekend.
