Phoenix officer faces possible discipline

A Phoenix police officer, captured on videotape trying to intervene when Department of Public Safety officers stopped her brother-in-law on suspicion of drunk driving, is facing discipline for her actions, Phoenix police said Wednesday.

Sgt. Tamara Motyka, 35, walked up to the two DPS officers on May 30 after they pulled over the truck her brother-in-law was driving on Route 188 near Roosevelt Lake. She is accused of warning them, "you better not drive through Phoenix" if they pursued drunken-driving charges against the driver.

One of the DPS officers captured the exchange on videotape.

Motyka, who has been on the force 13 years, was charged with intervening in a police investigation. But that charge was later dismissed after she wrote a letter of apology to both officers and agreed to undergo counseling.

Motyka's commander, Kevin Robinson, called her a good officer who made a mistake in judgement by trying to prevent her brother-in-law from being arrested.

the webmaster notes: all police officers are honest and would never lie in court. sure and if you beleive that the moon is made of green cheeze. cops on a daily basis lie, break the law, violate the constitional rights of americans. just as this crooked pig did trying to keep her drunken friend out of jail

the webmaster also notes with shock that normally pigs cover their crooked fellow pigs asses and dont bust them for crimes they commit.

these 2 dps cops that turned their brother cop in may be part of the 1% of the cops that are honest. i must thank you guys for 1) busting your fellow cop and 2) catching it on video tape.

not that i will hold my breath waiting for the crooked phoenix pig to get punished. she wont.
