Does anyone know where this suit now stands... or falls?

Thanks,

From the pages of LP news, October 1999...

September 3, Libertarian Party State Representatives Neil Randal, LP members Karlene Hughes-Isham and Calvin Hasetine, and the state's Libertarian-led gunowners rights organizations, Gun owners of Vermont, filed a law suit seeking to overturn a new background check program.

The suit argues that "background checks in general - when there is no reasonable suspecion of criminal activity - are unconstitutional."

It is the Libertarian Party's firm belief taht the state of Vermont may not interject itself into the private and lawful business transaction of its citizens without reasonable suspicion of a cirme.

ask yourself ...

Why didn't the Republican party file a lawsuit?
Why didn't the Democratic party file a lawsuit?

Are you being represented by your party?
