The "news" of the morning is that Janet Reno [a reputed relative of Johnny Reno] sent U.S. Marshalls to seize an audiotape from the FBI concerning the firing of incendiary devices at the "concrete bunker" [buried school bus] "remote from the main Davidin building" [nevermind that "tunnel"] and several hours before the final fire broke out. Here is the [aptly named] "story":

I don't know about the rest of you, but I'm becoming a bit testy over these fraudulent theatrics. The Feds stalled and covered up this matter for 6 years. Now they're engaged in this little "see how open we're being and how we're doing our best to disclose everything" skit while (1) trying their best to minimize the significance what has come out and (2) further covering up any additional new revelations or really independent examination of the so far unexamined materials [of which there is, apparently several TONS] and (3) trying really hard to hide the fact that this one revelation was only due to the naivete of a Texas Ranger rookie and the persistence of a private Waco journalist.
Anyone who thinks that the Attorney General's and the FBI's franti efforts to "re-examine" all evidence isn't really an effort to locate and destroy all extant relevant evidence before it inadvertently comes out through some future accident just doesn't understand government and what this government perpetrated in the Waco matter. If the Feds wanted to "preserve evidence" they wouldn't have bulldozed the "crime site" just after the fire, before the trial and before any independent investigators could have get to it. If they wanted the "real facts" to be public knowledge they wouldn't have banned the press from the five miles surrounding the Davidian "compound" during the "negotiations".
The Feds lied in the initial search warrant, they lied about the initial "gun fight," they lied about the Davidian's willingness to come out peaceably, they lied about the fire and how it started, and they lied about what they did when the [at that point] survivors tried to get out of the burning buildings. And, by inference and an established pattern of behavior, they're lying now. If private persons did any ONE of these acts they'd be seeing the world through bars for the next couple of decades, but not our faithful law enforcement officers and officials of the "Department of Justice".
Grrrr.
