Feb. 26 Neal Knox Report -- The truth - or some previously hidden truths about Waco - is beginning to come out during depositions under oath.
Wednesday former deputy assistant FBI Director Danny Coulson told attorneys for Branch Davidian survivors that the Justice Department and White House had disapproved plans to employ tanks to knock down sections of Mt. Carmel. But the FBI on the scene did it anyway. Coulson said FBI officials were stunned to see those tanks ramming the building.
Davidian Attorney Mike Caddell is using Coulson's testimony to ask Judge Walter Smith to reinstate legal action against the on-site commanders.
Wonder if things are getting so hot that the brass in Washington has decided to scapegoat those folks on the ground. They deserve the blame but not all the blame.
In August, after Waco film producer Mike McNulty uncovered evidence that FBI had used pyrotechnic devices, supposedly in direct violation of Janet Reno's orders, Coulson told the Dallas News he had "just learned they had."
Also, Justice Department has joined the Danforth investigators in asking Judge Smith to prevent the news media from witnessing the field test to determine if smallarms fire can be recorded by airborne infrared cameras. Would feel better about it if folks like Lee Hancok at Dallas News and a few others had a plain vanilla GI surplus FLIR running just to keep everyone honest.
Lee reports that House Chairman Dan Burton has filed a hot protest with the Justice Department over the search of U.S. Attorney Bill Johnston's computer after he resigned in protest of the obvious Justice Department coverup of Waco.
If you would like a copy of McNulty's Waco videotape which is causing all the fuss - and I recommend it - the price is $24.95 plus $6 shipping. Call toll-free 877-200-3222.
In the last few days we've learned that Citibank doesn't want the accounts of anyone selling guns - and a lot of gun-owning depositors are assuring them that the bank doesn't need their accounts either.
In Colorado, NRA Executive Vice President Wayne LaPierre and HCI Chairman Sarah Brady's husband, Jim, will join forces March 6 to launch a media campaign to "catch felons who illegally possess weapons and enforce other gun laws," according to the Denver Gazette.
Talk about the odd couple.
