Jacket: If you are new recruit we asked that you purchase a Jeans cloth Richmond Depo Type II Jacket. This was a very common Jacket that was worn by a lot of North Carolina Troops. If you are transfering in or joining us from another unit, please do not go out and buy all new uniform (unless you want to). You may still wear you current one, but as you replace it, please replace it with Jeans cloth. Trousers: Your first choice should be Jeans cloth also, one that works with your Jacket. If you cannot find Jeans cloth Trousers, or find them to bad to wear you may get CS Dark wool Trousers. Shirt: Any period shirt will work, we suggest you by more then one, its always nice to change into a dry shirt after a battle. Make sure the shirt you buy has bone or wood buttons and not plastic. Vest: A vest of either Civilian or Military style is optional, but nice to have. Brogans and Socks: Brogans are REQUIRED before you can go into the field.
