Latest updates to the site:

9/17/01: Update! Update! Finally...The Reunion came and went, and it was an absolute blast we think its safe to say. But lots of work needs to be done, including lots more picture updates, and stories from alumni. Please send in your thoughts, bios, re-caps of the past 20 years of your life, and whatever else you'd like to share with us. A few photos from the Saturday night dinner have been posted. There's tons more to come so keep checking back. Also on the way, we're still in the progress of creating the Internet radio station (Ivar just got lazy - but its almost done), and we are putting together a video of the Reunion over the next few weeks. We may put it on CD-ROM for viewing in Windows Media or Real Player on your computer, or perhaps just good old VHS tape. What do you think? Write to Ivar here.

6/13/01: Wow! An update to the site! That's what getting a new job will do for ya. Anyways, we have now added the list of "missing" classmates to the site, with a link from the Home page. Also added, a picture of OUR Edmonds High School, the way it looked in 1981, above. Thanks to former Tiger Band member Susan Spadt for submitting it!  Coming soon: Pictures of classmates now (at least, the ones with balls to submit them) and the Official EHS Tigers Internet Radio Station!!! Complete with tunes from 20 years ago, messages from classmates, info on the Reunion, all with your host DJ Tony Tiger. It will be a few weeks more before this is all setup, so please be patient. In the meantime, learn how to record your voice on your computer (its easy!), and send us a WAVE file, we'll get it on the air.

3/30/01: Finished uploading all the Senior pictures. Ivar's wrist hurts...Also added melodramatic Bob Seger lyrics from the song "Like A Rock" for the front page which seemed appropriate. Also added http://www.edmondsclassof81.org to the Yahoo and Google search engines. They'll probably get around to them next century or so...

3/29/01. Corrected the address for the RSVP to the Reunion! Ooops. Sorry about that :-) For those of you who have already mailed your checks, if it comes back, please check back on the Reunion page for correct address. Yeah, our bad, we know...

3/25/01. Published basic website with yearbook pictures from the list of last names starting with the letter "A". Posted basic information on the upcoming 20-Year Reunion at Lake Ballinger Golf Course. Posted information on how to submit photos and information to this site.

3/23/01. Trish created a Guest book, which is now located on the Reunion page. Way to go Trish! She is also a genius, possibly.

3/18 - 3/23/01. Ivar scanned 300 pictures from the yearbook. He resized, optimized, and midasized all the pictures. He crunched 35 megabytes of data down to 2 megabytes, without any visible degradation. You may wonder how he managed this. Just know that he is a genius, and be happy with that.

2/01/01. Ivar secured the name www.edmondsclassof81.org for this website, as approved by the Reunion committee. For financial reasons, we are hosting the site on Yahoo/Geocities until further notice, since this is free of charge. The cost of retaining the URL will be $35 per year, to be paid by the committee TFN. The URL is setup so that any clicks on www.edmondsclassof81.org will automatically "forward" these requests to the actual site address, which is http://www.geocities.com/ehstigers1981. Ivar assumes responsibility for maintaining the URL until sometime in the future if/when another person would like to take over these duties. It is the intent of the Reunion Committee to maintain this site for the foreseeable future, as a way for the Class of '81 to always stay in touch and spread the word fast concerning future reunions and get-togethers, and possibly coordinate prison-escape plans for incarcerated former classmates.

Reunion Committee notes from past meetings:

Two meetings have been held this year, chaired by the esteemed Robin Brock Blahous.

In attendance were Debbie White, Pamela Black, Mickey Warren, Greg Shoemake, Bill Hull, Dave Sittauer, George Natseos, Kelly Salisbury, (Pa)Trish(a) (Doll) Stearns, and Ivar Sandsmark.

Issues have mainly centered on locating "lost" students, IE, those whose mailings were returned to us by the United States Post Office. A strategy was developed for trying to locate said students, and each committee attendee was assigned a segment of the "lost list" for updating where possible. Also revealed to the committee was plans for this website, to be designed and maintained by Ivar Sandsmark and Trish Stearns

If you would like to attend the next planning (read: drinking) meeting, send an e-mail to Robin.
