The Ivanovo Chamber Choir was formed in Ivanovo, Russia in 1985 by Eugene Bobrov. It is an amateur group of about 25 mixed singers, drawn from different educational and professional backgrounds. | ||||||||||||||||||||

Over the 15 years of its choral activities the choir has given more than 500 concerts both in Russia and abroad, performing traditional Orthodox music and modern European compositions. The choir took part in a number of national and international choral festivals and initiated singing assemblies "Zolotoi Plios" in a beautiful little town on the Volga river. |

The Choir released a few audio-tapes and a CD with music,spanning from the 14th century upto the mordern time. The Ivanovo singers were the first in Russia to perform the Liturgy by Maxim Beresovsky (1745-1777) and many masterpieces by an contemporary Moscow composer Nikolay Lebedev (1947 - 2000). | ||||||||||||||||||||
