This is Dan's XR Ford Falcon . An original Balmain resident, he's had many Ford's in his 52 years. Prior to this was a one owner XC Fairmont in exceptional condition.
The model you see here, was rescued from the side of a suburban street in Croydon, Sydney for $1000 two years ago. it had lower rear quarter patches.  usual rear windscreen flange repair, and a full two pack repaint in the original blue colour, deleting the white roof. Some hail damage was also removed. At the time of photography, missing side trim pieces were being sought.
Interior is all original, with dark metallic blue seats and dash pad. The radio has been removed. Boot and engine bay were also repainted as original and detailed a little. The motor is a rebuilt 200 that was in the car when bought. Apart from extractors and soon to be fixed XD Falcon electronic ignition it is all stock. The tranny is a BW35. The car is well capable of exceeding the speed limit.
A slow rebuild is underway with the suspension, using many compatible parts from Virginia Classic Mustang. New front and rear sway bars (thicker) have been  installed. Ride height is factory, with manual steering. A VH44 has been added to assist the four wheel drums.
While not a highly optioned car, this is a great looking example of how many of the early Falcons came out. The car is fully insured with Vigil and kept under lock and key when Dan isn't driving.
