Hi, We are getting ready for our trip to France. Have to order a taxi for about 7am to get to Gloucester Bus Station in good time. Then we will be having two trips with a long wait between. This is to make provision in case we get caught in the problems other travellers in groups can experience.
Talking about the short trips is reminding us we only have three more weeks in Huntley, so we went for a walk to visit some of the oldest buildings, and find the local cricket oval, next to a farm.
May God smile on you today,
Elizabeth

New haircut - youthful style, and a few supplies I have found - fly swat, shower cap and stain-removing soap. I forgot to add my Australian potato peeler and plastic raincoat, also items not seen in Gloucester shops.

Max at study, and then, at Longhope, the shadows show he meets the farmer who used this tractor to usher his sheep, assisted by his daughter and her dog.

This building is called Gate House, and dates back around 300 years. It has recently been sold, and the new owner is busy.
|
We found the local cricket team busy, with a dad waiting his turn at bat by doing some bowling for his son. This farmer was heading towards home - dogs were barking a welcome.

We visit this house, Huntley's oldest, and see it also is having maintenance work. Last is this stone outside Margaret the Hairdresser's building. The top was level with the top of Gloucester Cathedral, when the stones were set in place.
