Our Garage Addition Page
We decided on an addition to the existing garage which would serve as a pool house for the pool. Initial plans were for adding a second two car garage to store my motorcycles then building a second floor with another bath, bedroom and large play area for the kids.
Laying out the foundation and getting ready to pour the concrete. Here we go!
Slab is poured and the garage walls (first floor) go up. You can see the stairs leading to no where in the seventh pic.
Second story is framed and the whole project is taking shape. Wow, is this thing gonna be big! The pools waitin on the addition to catch up.
Framed, roofed, walled and sided, man this is gonna be great!
Outside fully complete. Still waitin' on windows.
WERE FINALLY FINISHED!!!!
Was alot of work and a great deal of time, not to mention the money but now that it's done it was worth it. The pics are of the finished outside painted to match the house. The bow windows were a great touch and add quite a bit of light to the upstairs. Plus, it was done in time for my mother in-law, Shirley to spend the last couple months of her visit there. As you can see there is a bathroom, bedroom and large play area with a air hockey table ready for use. We added a bar at the last minute, which now were thankful for with a sink and a refrigerator. Could be party central!
My Trophy Room!!
As I said earlier, I needed a place to store my bikes and I kinda went a little overboard! I call the place my trophy room, only the finished stuff goes in here. More of a showcase instead of a garage. Tiled the floor in a black and white checkerboard pattern, put plenty of cabinets up for storage and added a four speaker stereo system to rock the place. Added one heck of alot of lighting to illuminate the toys and set the room off to a neat effect. Now all I have to do is finish my Vette so I can put it in here!
