My Father

My Father says that He loves me

Though I sometimes wonder why

Since I do such foolish things

Then run to Him and cry

But when I come to Him in prayer

Feeling weak and very shy

I ask Him to forgive my faults

While thinking I should die

But I believe my Father hears me

When I look up in the sky

For my Father lives in heaven

And my Father cannot lie

I just know my Father sees me

Cause His Word I don’t deny

I claim Jesus as my Lord each day

In His Word I will rely

So I say my Father loves me

And here’s the reason why

A still small voice keeps telling me

I’m the apple of His eye
