PERFORMING GROUPS

All RFH Students are eligible to participate in performing groups.  Orchestra, Symphonic Band, and Tower Singers are classes taken during the school day for credit.  All other activities and are listed on the next page.

Orchestra - 5 Credit Course

Orchestra is open to any student who plays a woodwind, brass, or string instrument.  The orchestra performs at several mandatory concerts during the school year.

Symphonic Band - 5 Credit Course

Band is open to any student who plays a woodwind, brass, or percussion instrument.  Students perform a wide variety of concert music as well as arrangements of popular music.  The band performs at several mandatory concerts and events.  Band members are strongly encouraged to join the Marching Band.

Tower Singers - 5 Credit Course

The Tower Singers perform literature of various time periods and cultures.  Sight singing, harmony, music theory, music notation, and the physical aspects of correct vocal production are studied in rehearsal.  Tower Singers perform at several mandatory concerts.  Advanced pianists are encouraged to take this course for experience accompanying Tower Singers.
