In wake of the arab oil embargo, plymouth climbed back in to 3rd place in the industry standings. The model year's production was 745,805 units. The fury line up was all new, and the for the first time since WWII plymouth offerd commercial-type vehicles, the voyager and the trail duster ( which is a different type of duster and it wont be talked about.)

The duster passenger car series remained preety much the same as in 1973 with these being the Duster, Duster twister, Gold Duster, and the Duster 360 which replaced the Duster 340. the space duster pacakge and sun roof were also continued.

Engines remaind the same execpt for the 360 which was rated at 245 horses, and the tranneys were similar to those of 1973 and back.

Sixteen exterior colors were offerd, vinyl roofs were avalible in black, white,green and parchment, and yet again the interiors were offerd in 5 colors with either bench or bucket seats.

Production amounted to 277,409 dusters and 3,969 duster 360's. suggusted prices were $2,829 for the Duster six, $2,980 for the Duster V-8, and $3,288 for the 360.
