"What nature says to us awakens something deep within our hearts. The angels speak in joy, of joy, and eternal things, even in the midst of their concern for how humanity is affecting their work on earth. They remind us of our destiny as builders, not destroyers, of the whole of the planet. They urge us to a greater unfolding.Their message is one to listen to, embrace, and act on."
-Dorothy Maclean, To Honor the Earth |

Angels touch our lives in so many way...they may be the gentle whispering in your ear...a stranger who mysteriously appears to offer guidance and help...or a great being of light radiating love and peace...
Many people have had contact with an angel, whether they know it or not. Angels may be there to help us in times of crisis, or appear to become friends with us. They also may not be a glowing, celestial being...they could be a human who likes to help.
When we are young and new to the world, everything is magical and real to us...which is why angels find it easier to make contact with children. Children don't yet have an understanding of facts and what's believed to be logical, and so beleive what they see, despite an adult telling them it's all fairytales.*g* Remember how much you loved the fact of a secret and magical friend that no one else could see? Who would help you and play with you? These imaginary friends were probably angels. *smile* But as we get older, logic sets in, and we lose our belief of them, thinking them childish.
But age should be no barrier in getting to know angels, their friendship from childhood is an amazing gift that you should never lose. *:)* They can probably understand us the most...so why not try and learn about them some more, and be open to their friendship once more... |

So who and what are angels?
Well, the word 'angel' comes from the Greek word 'angelos', which means, literally, messenger. They are spiritual beings on a higher evolution scale to humans, which means that they are closer to the Divine (which is however you may interpret it: God, Goddesses, the Universe, etc). This also means that they are on a higher vibrational frequency to us, which is why it is harder for humans to tune into them. *g*
They are also described as being androgynous, which means they are not distinctly male or female. Although to some people, they may appear more male or more female. People may describe them as shining beings of light that fill their room with radiance, that make them almost hard to look at. They also have 2-6 large wings which they can enfold those in need. Their long, flowing robes are also a common observance of those who have seen them, and many have also noted the intensity of the angels eyes - some have said they blaze with light and fire.
But, as mentioned before, angels may also appear to us in human form - probably so that it's not such a big shock to our logical way of thinking! *g* Basically though, angels can appear in any way, and may look different to differnt people. These descriptions are also just of the group of angels who are closest to our human level of vibration, which are just simply, angels. These descriptions can also apply to Archangels. But what is this order of angels? |
