Obfuscate

Cloak of the Shadows
By remaining still and relying on natural cover, you can blur the apparent lines of your form and make it difficult for people to notice you. As long as you remain completely still and unmoving in a shadowed place or behind some sort of cover, you remain hidden from normal view. While hidden, nobody but a Cainite using Auspex (or another supernatural creature with similar sensory acuity) can spot you. The concealment vanishes immediately if you move, speak, or interact with your environment in any fashion.

Unseen Presence
Your powers of concealment allow you to fade from view, and then wander about while remaining unnoticed. Once concealed, you may move about at a walking pace and remain unnoticed. You can wander about unnoticed, but you automatically become visible if you speak, open a door, attack a person, exert the Presence Discipline or knock over a vase, for instance.

Mask of A Thousand Faces
By twisting perceptions around you, you cause others to see you not as you really are but as someone different from your actual physical appearance. Generally, this power causes people to ignore your features, making you unassuming and average. However, with concentration, you can assume a specific hallucinatory visage or even copy the features of another individual.

Vanish From The Mind's Eye
The incredible powers of your stealth allow you to remain hidden even while speaking or moving about. You can even fade from plain sight, disappearing from the view of any onlooker. You still cannot remain invisible while interacting physically with your environment, screaming, exerting Presence or attacking, but you could take such an action and then try to fade away again.

Cloak of the Gathering
Your powers of concealment extend beyond your own form. With an effort, you can throw your disguising powers over several people, hiding them all from view or masking them with hallucinatory guises.

When you use this discipline, you can use any Obfuscate power that you possess over the targets. For example, you could choose to spread several Masks of A Thousand Faces over your allies; making them all look like different people; or you could shroud a group of people with Vanish From the Minds Eye, causing them all to fade from view. If an individual under Cloak of the Gathering violates the provisions of his loaned Obfuscate in any way (say, by launching an attack), then he immediately loses the benefits, but the cloak remains intact for the others. Only if you, the Caster of Cloak of the Gathering, violate your Obfuscate does the cloak fail completely. Cloak of the Gathering only throws your Obfuscate over other creatures or entities. You cannot use Cloak of the Gathering to shroud a house, for instance. But you can certainly conceal a small group of vampires and all that they wear or carry.

Conceal
The Vampire may mask an inanimate object up to the size of a house (Obfuscate cannot be used to disguise inanimate objects without the use of this discipline). If the object is hidden, so are all of its contents. While Conceal is in effect, passersby walk around the concealed object as if it were still visible, but refuse to acknowledge that they are making any kind of detour around an object.

Mind Blank
A Vampire with this discipline is able to shrug off telepathic contact, easily withstanding invasive probes of their mind. Use this discipline before combat to help ward off Auspex attacks.

Soul Mask
In addition to concealing their form, Vampires who have developed Soul Mask are able to conceal their aura. The Vampire may display whatever combination of colors and shades the Vampire wishes, or may appear to have no aura whatsoever.

Cache
Most Obfuscate powers require the individual using them to be within a short distance of their subjects of concealment. Cache extends this range considerably, allowing an elder with this discipline to leave people or objects safely hidden while the Vampire goes about his or her business elsewhere. The enhanced concealment fades at the next sunrise, or breaks, as always, if the Obfuscate subject reveals himself.

Veil of Blissful Ignorance
This discipline allows a Vampire to Obfuscate an unwilling victim, removing him or her from the notice of others. Some Nosferatu use this discipline to teach a humbling lesson on individuals who take their presence and aid of others for granted, while others utilize it to remove an essential member of a group in the midst of a crisis. The length of time the victim is concealed is dependent on the age of the caster.

The victim of Veil of Blissful Ignorance does not necessarily know that he or she is under the effect of this power. The victim is only aware that everyone around them has suddenly begun acting as if the victim were not there. Curiously enough, Veil of Blissful Ignorance can never be used on anyone who is ready and willing to accept its effects.

Old Friend
A variation of Mask of A Thousand Faces, Old Friend allows a Vampire to probe a subject's subconscious and take the semblance of the individual who that victim trusts over anyone else. Someone using this power does not appear as someone who the victim is frightened of or awed by, but rather someone to whom the victim feels most comfortable revealing intimate secrets. Old Friend doesn't necessarily make its user appear as someone who is still among the living; a long dead friend or relative is just as likely to be assigned visage, and in such cases the subject remembers the encounter as a dream or a ghost visitation.

Create Name
This discipline allows a Vampire to create a completely new identity; face; speech pattern, aura, even thought processes are constructed according to the Vampire's desired identity. The discipline can be used to impersonate an existing individual, or it can project the semblance of a completely fictional identity with perfect accuracy.

A Vampire working with Create Name must spend three hours a night in relatively uninterrupted quiet to establish a new personality by means of this discipline.
