The Fall
   And the LORD God said unto the serpent because thou hast done this, thou art cursed above all cattle, and above every beast of the field; upon thy belly shalt thou go, and dust shalt thou eat all the days of thy life. And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; It shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise His heel... Genesis 3:14-15

   Eve was beguiled by the serpent (satan) and did eat of the fruit which God had said was forbidden.  Adam did also eat of it and Eden was lost.  Next comes the very first mention of a redeemer in the Bible.  Through Adam and Eve's dissobedience, mankind was cursed.  Destined to die mortally, and spiritually.       Jesus was that redeemer; the seed that was to be bruised on the heel by satan; signifying His death  on the cross. Jesus, the seed that would crush satan's head in glorious victory, by His resurection from the grave; giving all who believe in Him, that same victory, over satan...over death.
