The Power of a Doctor (dedicated to Dr. James C. Craig)

Oh the power of a doctor! Profound tools he holds in his grasp.
Yet no tools could ever do enough like his compassion to clasp...
To clasp a hand or fretful heart, and see beyond their eyes.
To see past flesh into a soul, and attempt to excise...
The fear, the anguish, a tortured body and mind;
Wisdom to know that their appearance does not always define...
Who they are.. who they were, or who they may become...
Discerning that disease goes beyond more than just a symptom.
For not all diseases are in the body found...
But many are of the spirit, like demons who have bound...
Bound you up inside, and wont set you free...
But when those pages you gave me I did read;
I felt them let go... I felt them flee!
They knew, that I knew, that I was going to be ok...
Like an epiphany of bright light, on a blinding sunny day!
You, my physician, aided the Great Physician, to heal me in His
time.
Putting back the song in my heart, and in my soul it's rhyme....
