Four class breed
Weights: Senior Bucks & Does- not over 3 1/2 pounds; ideal 3 pounds
              Junior Bucks & Does- 1 1/2- 3 pounds
Body Type: Compact
Fur Type: Wool

Faults: body being long or narrow; ears being thin, poorly furred, poor carriage; extremely fine bone; underwool being excessive; wool being coarse, wiry, webbed, matted, limp, thin, or short
Severe Fault: senior’s coat being excessively soft or cottony; animals lacking wool cap or side trimmings
Disqualifications: wool’s length under 1 1/2 inches; ears over 3 inches in length; body being really long, narrow, rangy; ears having tassels; ankle joint having wool below it

History: Bonnie Seeley from High Bridge, New Jersey created this breed in the late 1970’s. This breed is a result of selective crossbreeding, there was no mutation involved. They made their final showing to become a recognized breed at the Madison, WI convention in 1988, the same year as the American Fuzzy Lop and the Mini Rex.

Fun Facts: The Broken Pattern passed all the required showings at the 2003 Convention in Wichita, Kansas. They can start showing competitively starting February 1, 2004.
