Dwarf Hotot Varieties: Standard (Black) Unrecognized Varieties: Blue and Chocolate Four class breed Weights: Senior Bucks & Doe- not over 3 pounds; ideal 2 1/2 Junior Bucks & Does- 1 1/4- 2 1/2 pounds Body Type: Compact Fur Type: Normal (Rollback) Faults: thin ears, fur being thin or lifeless, eyebands being slightly irregular, very wide eyebands, mild feathering or white streaks in eyebamds Disqualifications: presence of a dewlap, ears being over 2 3/4 inches, colored toenails, eyes having spots or marbling, eyebands incomplete, eyebands having heavy feathering History: Two different breeders from Germany, one from the East and the other from the West, created this breed. In 1977 they reached the dwarf size. Mr. and Mrs. Han Forstingers imported over 30 of this breed. They exhibited them for their first ARBA presentation in 1981 at the Syracuse convention. Fun Facts: ideally the eyebands are to be the width of two pennies. The Chocolates passed their first showing at the 2003 ARBA convention in Wichita, Kansas. The Blues failed. |
