| How to find a show close to you To find show dates, go to the website http://www.arba.net this is the ARBA's homepage. On it, you'll find a link that will show you all the upcoming open and youth rabbit and cavy (guiena pigs) shows in your area. Call or email the show secretary for a show catalog. This will have all the information on the show of who to send the entry to, time the show starts, where the show is, ect. If you're a 4-Her looking for 4-H shows, ask your 4-H leader. They recieve that information from the 4-H clubs who are putting on the show. Be prepared for a drive though, mattering on where you live. For me, the closest shows are at least a hour away. The ARBA website will also have information on how to join their club. With your membership, you'll recieve the "Official Guide Book, Raising Better Rabbits & Cavies", a yearbook, listing all the members of the club, and the Domestic Rabbits magizines. If you’re a youth I highly recommend you joining a local 4-H club also. This will teach you how to properly handle your rabbits and how to properly care for them. |
