What to Bring

Carring Cages with a leak proof bottom
You can buy these from a cage vender. It’s easier to bring your rabbits in these than bringing it’s whole cage, in a cardboard box, ect. Plus it takes less space.

Chairs
Otherwise you'll be standing ALL day!! Sometimes the fairgrounds have chairs for you, but very rarely, so don't be expecting it. Just because a show supplies chairs one year, does not mean they will the next year.

Comfortable Shoes
You’ll be standing a lot, so it’s nice to have a comfortable pair of shoes.

A Sack Lunch
Some shows have consession stands, but not all.  Sometimes, if the show is at the
fairgrounds, they'll open up their stands, but not always. So it's best to be prepared, unless otherwise told.

Grooming Supplies (toenail clippers, q-tips, spray bottle, brush, tissue, ect)
You want to make sure your rabbit is nicely groomed before taking it up to the show table. Make sure that it's nails are clipped, it's vents are cleaned, and that it's brushed out (especially if this is a 4-H show, the fit and show judge will check to see if you clipped the nails and cleaned the vents).

Grooming Table or Carpet Sample
This is optional, but it’s nice to have something to put your rabbit on while you groom it other than a lap. With the table, you can stand while you groom your rabbit. Most tables also have a box attached to put your grooming supplies in. You can usually buy them at shows, or make one of your own. If you don’t have a table, you can go to a local carpet store and see if they have any carpet samples that you can have. They are usually only a few dollars. At shows you can just put this on top of your carring cages to groom your rabbit. NEVER place you rabbit on just the wire of the top of the carring cage, the wire is really big and they can hurt their legs by having them falling in the cage. Plus the rabbit beneath them could try bitting them.

Water Bottles
For your rabbits, especially if it's going to be a hot day. Cage venders sell smaller water bottles that are made especially for traveling.

Rabbit Food and Bowls

I only bring this to shows where we’ll be staying overnight, otherwise I don’t bother
feeding the rabbits at shows since they don’t usually eat much anyways. You can put hay in their cage to munch on instead if it’s just a day show. If it’s a 4-H show, do NOT put anything in the cage!! Most 4-H shows have vet checks (at least here in Washington). These are ran by kids, and they usually don’t past many of the white rabbits claiming they have “fur mites” when it’s really only hay dust.

Pedigree Book
You want to bring this especially if you have rabbits for sale. I always bring mine with me, even if I’m not planning on selling any rabbits, since sometimes I still end up selling one.

Book/Game Boy/Cards/ect
It can get boring sometimes inbetween showing, especially for kids, or younger siblings who got brought around, so it’s best to have something for them to do.
